Beef or Salmon the best ? Five Cheltenham Gold Cups says he isn’t.

The infertile can run in the BC.

The Breeders’ Cup concept was brought in to being to put money back into the sport ; money from the vast profits breeders were making at the time ; the breeder’s conscience saying thanks .

I would say Generous because he was awesome in both the English & Irish Derbys ; a level of form Nashwan never got near, imo. Lammtarra only really just did enough in his races and I think it is impossible to say how good he actually was. I loved Reference Point and he was a good Derby winner but I can’t believe he was as good as Paul Cole’s Champ.

A lot of dross as Derby winners go  in the choices and can only involve Sinndar and High Chapparal, imo, with Galileo and wide-margin third. Very difficult to separate them but  I’ll go with Sinndar.

Totally agree. She has all the form, both collateral and on the clock. 4/1 is available today and that will look huge when she storms clear in the 1,000.

They went a slow pace in yesterday’s race: KS ran from 3 out to line about 10 lengths quicker than you would expect for a race with that overall time.

Agreed ; with the likes of Turpin Green and Monkerhostin finishing pretty close, the form doesn’t look outstanding.

That said, Kauto Star deserves every accolade bestowed on him for versatility. How many Gold cup winners had the speed to win a Grade 1 at two miles ?  I can’t remember that many.

Have they grown since yesterday ? I know some members have been offended but some of us want a progress report.

Any creature who hibernates through the winter has got my respect. Only wish I could.

No bankers for me this week because I can see dangers to all of the fancied horses, or reasons why not to go in strong on them.  I do like Don’t Push It at 9/2 in the Arkle, though. His form  looks strong and has to finish thereabouts. He’ll do for  me, maybe even each/way.

Quote: from PaulB on 11:50 pm on Mar. 9, 2007[br]Hey Guys,

    Looking for your help.

I placed a bet on Hardy Eustace when he bet Brave Inca at Leopardstown. I got him at 9/1 a few min before the race but when i was in the bookmakers(A Large Irish Firm) i also wanted to back him ante-post at 12/1 but only had €20 with me so i just put the two races in a double. As he won at 9/1 i was under the impression that i had €200 going on to him to win the Champion at 12/1, i was chuffed. But when speaking to a member of staff in the local bookmakers this week he told me that i would only have €200 on him at S.P as you can not place a double like this. I asked for my €200 to be given back to me but he said this was not possible as the bet still remains open.

    What do i do?<br>

I’m surprised the bet was taken  in the first place. In my experience, bookies don’t take double bets of this nature. If you want to place a bet such as this, what happens is the manager will get on the phone and ask for one special price for the horse winning both races – yes, at odds less than the double would have paid.
