How is Carlton House not 8/11, 4/6.

This Field is not in the same league as CH

Would love to lay him at odds on, but around 5/4 might have to do. Most unfounded hype of any horse this season. Dylan Thomas was 9/2f here after being 3rd in his Derby…go figure

Only regret is not place laying the "certainty" to the hilt, win lay will do tho

Cracking stuff from Segal..wouldn’t have picked that with 15 go’s

went for a low weight one in high office, winner was just above him, but never considered, c’est la vie, thought hayley gave activate a shocker, the winner won from high so no excuses

You mean like So You Think was?

Jeez lads wake up a bit will ya, was workmanlike in the Dante and Derby there was nothing special about him whatsoever…maybe he’ll run a blinder on the soft, stiff track and win for ya, and every credit if he does, he has a chance if he stays, not a great one, just a moderate chance, and people are saying he’s guaranteed and needs to be odds on…what on earth you see in him i’ve no idea, should have been 3/1+ for the Derby and should be that here too, minimum

You can’t see a horse who beat CH hands down at Epsom confirming the form?

Must be that Goldikova type blindness kicking in

There’s barely a few lbs between all of these and no-one knows how they’ll respond after Epsom, CH has to travel over the water too, he shouldn’t even be fav and you want him odds on????

steady fella, cos win lose or draw yer in trouble with that approach

Agree entirely ^ (I thought he was a lay at ascot albeit for the wrong reasons as things turned out, stated pre-race)

I’d add the key to assessing the race is Planteur (whom i backed). A top class 10f horse who rounded the bend quite smoothly he put down his challenge, ran to form, and was broken by So You Think down the straight.

Workforce against him over 10f on g/f? Great chance. His fans at Ascot just weren’t patient enough to wait for the right day imo. But taking on a Derby and Arc winner and up against a crack filly…hmmm

Carlton House looks a stone cold lay to me: beaten fair and square at Epsom by Treasure Beach, whose form stands up to the max and should be fav here, whereas CH has been overhyped to the hills because of his owner, won a desperate Dante, is probably in need of a break to strengthen up and the stiffer track on easier ground will mean his run flattens out quicker than it did at Epsom.

Looking like softish ground will Overturn even run?

Everything is teed up perfectly for

    Activate

and 8/1 is more than fair

D.Flyer has a pot in him for sure but not sure about 2m on the ground and if turning up High Office makes most appeal at a price…perfect trends fit (as is Hawk Mountain).

Big fan of Goldikova (who isn’t?) but Canford Cliffs will win comfortably.

well at least you’ll have the "nice odds" strapped to a losing voucher and a photo of what used to be

don’t worry about the formbook, just slant it so that goldi looks better

    2 of those lose tho

again, So You Think has an enormous stride, lengthens and gallops…Planteur is probably the best 10f horse around, stalks, moves, quickens, wham, SYT will need to be clear because he won’t be able to respond.

great race, should be 6/4 each of 2 tho

just personally, it’s more than obvious just watching him on the track that he is about to become one of the best milers of the century so far

but it’s racing, maybe he’ll find traffic in the small field or something, 11/8 looks large tho
