Thanks, reet hard.
June 24, 2011 at 08:07 #362278Grimes: I’m afraid i totally agree, i wouldn’t be touching Overturn in this ground and with such an inexperienced jockey up. The lad has won hcap hurdles but judging pace in a race like this will be a massive test for him. What i will say however that the more he drifts the closer to a ‘saver’ he becomes!
Still down as good/soft so i am guessing Newcastle missed the rain last night and yesterday.
Still like the look of
June 24, 2011 at 13:38 #362314Was going to back High Office today, but his price has come right in. Was worth an ew at 16’s but not at 12’s, especially as he has a bad draw also.
June 24, 2011 at 14:12 #362324He has never raced over this far either!! Yard just back into good form though i guess.
June 24, 2011 at 15:24 #362332Perfect trends fit moe (if you like that kind of thing)..more rain tomorrow morning for him (and Activate), mark due to go up 5lbs he’s deffo well-in just bumped into one at Ayr over a trip too short, 40s and 20s here hopeful, still love Activate tho
June 24, 2011 at 18:09 #362354So annoyed I missed the 16’s BB, but took the [now down to] 11’s today. Also backed Investissement [good draw]as I said I’d follow Singspiels’ over the longer distances and I ignored Swingkeel last week [having followed him for ages!]. Would still love the mare to run a mighty race, though.
June 24, 2011 at 20:51 #362368The one I fancy is
Also I’ve always liked Mount Athos, butTotally agree mate for completely the same reasons – will definately stay. Harlestone Times for me to.

June 25, 2011 at 23:49 #362523Not bad from Tom Segal 1st and 3rd
June 26, 2011 at 01:50 #362530Cracking stuff from Segal..wouldn’t have picked that with 15 go’s
went for a low weight one in high office, winner was just above him, but never considered, c’est la vie, thought hayley gave activate a shocker, the winner won from high so no excuses
June 26, 2011 at 07:37 #362541I notice Segal took account of breeding when nominating Tominator. A fairly obvious thing to do in a long distance race but I was surprised very few pundits here or elsewhere commented much on the contenders’ stamina/dosage stats.
June 26, 2011 at 09:16 #362547Was my second highest rated horse, but ignored him because of draw, age, and the fact he hadn’t ran over long [er] distances. Usually look at pedigree but didn’t know what to make of his. Stats seem to be flying out the window these days. Pleased for the trainer, though.
