Steveh31 – Its not due to tv rights but Sky sports racing closes their coverage at 11pm irrespective of whether the races are still going on in states. For eg, on 1st Jan they showed 5 Santa Anita races, meaning they have the right to cover Santa Anita. But did not show last 3 races as they were after 11pm UK time. Same was the case with Golden Gate races.
ATR used to show all races. For late night US races, even though they used to close the studio but stream the live feed. I hope Sky Sports racing sort this out as there is a separate channel for news already.
Calyx for Guineas
At 11pm they switched to sky sports news and skipped all later races in States. Santa Anita and Golden gates racing was still going on but they stopped the coverage from 11PM and switched to sky sports news. ATR used to show all Stateside races.
Also, any idea if they will they also show Dubai Carnival races?

He might get tough fight from John Gosden trained Frankel filly Frisella though.
RIP Cliffs of Moher

Roaring Lion will be retired after this season

Enable to run in Breeders cup turf and currently with an odd of 4/6

Think everyone has their own preference phil and its not the fault of ITV. I personally prefer flat racing more and take a break from racing during winter jump season. For me, racing starts from Lincoln Handicap and ends with racing post trophy. During winter, I only watch big international races like Melbourne cup, Breeders cup, Dubai WC etc but dont gamble. Not a fan of all weather racing either. But ITV gives equal importance to both flat and jump season. Their coverage of Cheltenham and Grand national was pretty good last year.
Is Too Darn Hot better than Calyx?
Will Enable stay on training for next year? It will be fascinating to see Enable vs SOS again, probably in King George next year.
Sea of Class should win the Arc for me.
@Kris – Sorry yes I should hv given my opinion in the OP. I am someone new to racing and but from my limited knowledge, Derby has much larger history and significance. There are derby race in most countries emulating the Epsom race. That alone makes Derby a very special race.
In terms of quality, Arc is better bcoz it is competed amongst proven G1 horses from all ages. It also has significant international presence, which lacks in derby. However, the track in Epsom is much tougher compared to Longchamp. So its a gruelling test for 3 year olds.
Lets put it this way, Derby is the greatest test for 3 yo horses. Arc is the best G1 race for all ages.
Johny G is a good trainer but he is bit pensive. He has a massive fear of losing and just before any big event, his horses gets withdrawn for some strange reasons.
Enable – Was out almost all summer. Returned only into Group 2 in all weather where she was certain to win. Why didn’t he let her race in Juddmonte internationals?
Cracksman – As many have already mentioned, his planning was baffling. What do you mean by, he can only run if there is a cut in the ground? Yes he lost in Ascot, but against whom? The 2nd best horse in the world. No shame in it. But Gosden decided to not let Cracksman run in King George and now in the Arc.
Lah ti Dar – Just before the oaks when everyone was looking forward to see her run, she gets injured. Could have taken on Sea of Class at York Oaks? But no, Gosden decided to run her in a group 2 on return and then let her take a grueling test against boys in the ledger.
Calyx – A wonderful horse and was looking forward to see so much from him in Middle Park, Dewhurst etc. But miraculously gets injured and wont run this year.
The amount of good horses Gosden had, he could have achieved so much more. But for that, he needs to let his horses run often.
Enable is running in Kempton next month I believe. After such a long absence, its hard to say if she will be the same horse as last year. She will run 2 more races anyway (Kempton September Stakes and Arc) before retiring for stud duties.
Why didnt Lah Ti Dar run in Yorkshire Oaks? He is a Group 1 horse and no business in listed race

Enable vs Sea of Class will be amazing race
