Cross Counter 25/1
Everyone seems to be wanting to bash his win over Dee Ex Bee but the timefigure was very good and he looks to be improving nicely. Has a good turn of foot but also stays well, think he’s ideal for this.
Already backed Withhold 20/1 once he won the Northumberland Plate but think this lad can give him something to think about come November.
Completely agree with you about Cross Counter. I thought he would be favourite after his performance and given that this is his confirmed target!
Just as an aside, are any Australian horses planning on turning up to this? It seems every stayer in the country is planning on going to Melbourne Cup!
I love this race, I might be bleary eyed and washed out in the morning,
but I wouldn’t miss it. I agree Magic circle is very much of interest,
but I won’t have a bet until nearer the time when it looks clearer who

Minimum Weight for the race is 7.9I think they should rename the race The Coolmore Cup, nobody else will be able to get in.
Value Is EverythingI think I might have a few bob on him too Mike. Always seemed like an under-rated horse to me. I reckon he would have at least been placed in a St Leger in any other year and has run a couple of good races over longer trips this season
Quite a lot in this race have not even qualified to get in the race yet.
