He’s certainly an interesting contender Tonge. You only have to look at the horses in the St Leger to see how good a race it was and I believe he has improved this season giving Stradivarius a race last time.
September 17, 2018 at 16:29 #1375229Weight penalties after the weekend.
Kew Gardens – 1kg
Flag Of Honour – 1.5kg
Thomas Hobson – 1kgHere is the order of entry, it changes week to week though.

September 18, 2018 at 08:48 #1375259Anyone with a BFSB account could do a lot worse than backing a few quid on Avilius @ 40/1.
Confirmed for the race and on his European form could be FAV for this.
September 18, 2018 at 09:07 #1375260I did Sound Check for 50/1.
He was just bought from Germany particularly for this race and brings in some serious stamina.October 9, 2018 at 14:05 #1376837Latest order of entry
Withold may well need to win a race beforehand to get a run for certain
October 9, 2018 at 14:31 #1376839Lizard be getting his chequebook out to 13 sets of connections

LOL, problem is for him is that Sheikh Mo might be getting his out for Hamada as well

They’ve nobody to blame but themselves if Withhold doesn’t get in TBF, been kept in cotton wool for ages when he could’ve been running in something to guarantee a run.October 9, 2018 at 15:47 #1376851Time to have a go here, and sticking with a pair who I know well, and both look decent price.
I believe Latrobe is definitely going, but not seen anything definite for Rostropovich.
Latrobe 20’s Win
Rostropovich 66’s EWOctober 9, 2018 at 16:14 #1376853Oh I dunno kev, last year a horse got in with 48kg. This year 53 is borderline. It just seems to of attracted better Euro horses now all of a sudden given the big purse and lack of local qualify opposition.
October 9, 2018 at 16:30 #1376856Agree with that Botchy but they acknowledged this time last month that they probably won’t get in unless they race again prior, yet haven’t done anything about it in the meantime.
Doncaster cup would’ve been the perfect fit for it.I understand that they’ve taken the gamble of sneaking in, and it’ll look like genius if they do get lucky, but it’s surprising given it’s Lizards number one goal in racing to win this race that they’re taking such a chance.
October 9, 2018 at 18:05 #1376861Cross Counter 82nd on the list. If Withhold at 58 isn’t likely to get in, Cross Counter at 82 has got no chance.
October 9, 2018 at 21:23 #1376869Degaussed, it’s a bit different than our races. It is based on the order of entry as opposed to weight carried. So Latrobe for example will get priority over a horse with a higher weight. There are a few win and your in races coming up where a horse can automatically qualify regardless of weight. Also if your horse gets balloted out you do your dough with UK bookie’s
October 9, 2018 at 21:32 #1376870Thanks for clarifying, Botchy. Is the order on the Racing Post website the correct entry order?

October 9, 2018 at 21:55 #1376871Looks about right, but that link I put up earlier today is the official one. Then next week it will all change again no doubt
October 9, 2018 at 22:02 #1376873So you did!
Cross Counter is 19 so will get in. I’m sure I saw Emotionless is injured again and might will this, he’s number 21.
October 10, 2018 at 11:38 #1376891What a great race in prospect.
I have bet Count Octave at 33-1 each way, and I am also mulling over The Taj Mahal at 66-1. I don’t think that horse should be that price.
