I backed Hamada for this at 33s. Hes lightly raced and I think there is a lot more to come. 16s is quite short now, will back him again nearer the time
Good luck all
October 13, 2018 at 10:35 #1377179Hamada suffered an injury out in Australia and unfortunately had to be put down.
The four-year-old, who was prominent in the betting for the Melbourne Cup at a best-priced 16-1, fractured his near-hind fetlock during a routine piece of work.
“It was a freak accident and on the vet’s advice we did what was best for the horse,” said trainer Charlie Appleby.
“It’s very unfortunate, he had a bright future and a progressive profile. I was really looking forward to seeing him run.”October 13, 2018 at 11:06 #1377183The last eight of the Euro challengers are in the air

October 13, 2018 at 16:42 #1377262That is terrible news about Hamada.
Botchy, thank you for these updates, very helpful not just for me I’m sure.
October 14, 2018 at 14:56 #1377327I see Cross Counter has also picked up an injury, albeit not terrible by the sounds of things.
They’re dropping like flies.

October 15, 2018 at 08:44 #1377394Yucatan moves up to 24 from 55 in the list courtesy of a 2.5KG penalty for winning at the weekend.
October 15, 2018 at 09:13 #1377398Not sure whether he was ever a viable contender but Emotionless has suffered a pelvic stress fracture. Not going well for Godolphin. Fingers crossed he’ll be ok.

October 15, 2018 at 20:21 #1377480I am happy that Latrobe looks secure, but it looks like a fair sweat for me to see if Withold can get.
I think that even with a few dropping out, it is still a race to get excited about. The only challenge for me is trying to stay up.
October 15, 2018 at 21:16 #1377492Sorry guys. Count Octave is out as well

Please see below an update this morning in relation to Count Octave. pic.twitter.com/WnzFBXjMDH

October 16, 2018 at 00:11 #1377508I wonder if I’ll have my usual panic about not being able to receive Radio Sport 927 0n the night [it always happens and then someone rescues me with a link of some kind].

Also Best Solution escapes a penalty for his win at the weekend.
October 22, 2018 at 13:36 #1378377Thanks for that Botchy, I knew the assessor was considering his mark after his win,
but I didn’t know it had remained the same, I’m relieved about that. I should have
put a bit in this thread a while back, I backed Best Solution at 40/1 back in
August (posted in the Ante Post thread). I’m glad he seems to have settled in well
down under. No doubting that Yucatan won with a ton in hand in the Herbert Power
last week and will almost certainly get into the race with his weights rise, but I
think that Best Solution has a real shout here
October 22, 2018 at 15:54 #1378385Certainly got a big chance now BigG

Today’s order of entry. Plenty of changes to come this weekend no doubt.

October 22, 2018 at 20:59 #1378421I thought he would have been lamped with a rise- you’re on at a super price BigG- good luck
October 22, 2018 at 22:57 #1378440Yup I’ve got a great price Green, so all he has to do now is win
October 22, 2018 at 23:29 #1378442Finche looks a nice price at 50s. Was brought quietly along as a 3yo and not overraced. Hasn’t run over this far but no particular reason why he wouldn’t get it; if the Frankels aren’t bonkers they seem to stay and he has Rainbow Quest on his dam’s side.
