The two horses I have backed for the RSA is BACARDYS 16/1 & SUTTON PLACE 20/1.
Both over priced and should be their targets
If he stays chasing, I think Yorkhill will have massive chance of winning. 2/2 Cheltenham, he’s quick and bred for a trip. The monster jumped well enough going left handed in the JLT and won with plenty in hand. if he learns to settle better and saves energy he will be hard to beat. Ruby has given him 2 peaches at the festival and will make it 3. As soon connections confirm he’s staying chasing I will back him for the gold cup. NAP
I Have previously backed douvan (small stakes L15s) for the gold cup. However, the more I look at the race now, I’m really starting to fancy Yorkhill.
Yorkhill has so much ability, a high cruising speed and is breed to stay. Obviously he’s a hard ride as he can pull hard jumps left and idles in the run in but I’m willing to gamble and taken 10s on BF and 8s for lucky 15 multiples.
Yorkhill is 2 from 2 at Cheltenham, jumped straight going left landed. I think the race will be run at a good clip and setup perfectly for him.
Some people slag the horse- But for me he’s my idea of the winner. Can’t see connections going hurdleing with him, tey just gotta look at the JLT run. Hard on the bridal before taking it up and jumped like a stag- he is made for the Gold cup and I think if he lines up will go off FAV
I have done a few multiple combinations. Just small stakes lucky 15s & 31s. These are the horses I fancy
ARKLE- Petit Mouchoir 16/1 & Tombstone 33/1
SUPREME- Samcro 20/1
NEPTUNE- Blow by blow & Samcro 20/1
CHAMPION HURDLE- Buveur dair 4/1
Mares- Apple Jade 3/1 & Augusta Kate 14/1
World hurdle- Nichols canyon 7/1 & apples jade 14/1
JLT- Finians oscar 12/1
GOLD CUP- Douvan & Our duke 12/1
X country- cause of causes 9/1
Done my first Ante post Lucky 15 bets
CH- BUV AR DARE 4/1
GOLD CUP- OUR DUKE 12/1
CROSS COUNTRY- CAUSE OF CAUSES 9/1
NEPTUNE- SAMCRO 16/1Bishops road 66/1 looks over priced. He get the trip, his jumping is a concern but at 16.5/1 a place. I’m taking a punt and he’s my last selection:
Bishops road 66/1ew
More of that 20/1ew
Measureofmydreams 66/1ew
Ballynagour 66/1ewHoping one runs into a place. Good luck all
I HAVE JUST gone in again and lumped on More Of That at 20/1 ew He just stands out so much on the card running off 11-5! I can’t believe perfect canidaite is rated 1 pound lower then him! I think JONJO has sorted out his wind. He is coming back to himself and i loved his runs in the Irish GC and gold cup. BG is going to ride.
So the three horses I’m going to war with:
Ballynagour 66/1 ew
Measureofmydreams 66/1 ew
More of that 70s on the machine & 20/1 ewThat me done for this year.
Second and last bet for this years national
Measureofmydreams £100ew 66/1 NRNB with skybet
Reasons for my fancy-
Previous Strong Irish form beating noble endeavour and 1 length down when Black hurclues fell at the last.
Ran a good third in the four miler beating Vieux Lion Rouge (current 10 fav) and 6 length s behind this year gold cup 2nd and third at Cheltenham.
Noel Meade horses are running reasonably well.
Ultima was a good prep run, he ran on when he was being ridden and then faded. Needed the run
Has nearly bottom weight and a nine year old.
66/1 is to big and I think there is more to come. Jumping is a concern but National is a lottery and anything might happen.
So my two for this year against the field:
Measure of my dreams 66/1 ew NRNB
Ballynagour 66/1 ew NRNBHappy punting
I’ve placed my first NRNB bet £100ew on Ballynagour at 66/1.
Reasons for my fancy:
He was very eye catching in last years race, making good headway from the back before unseating when tanking behind rule the world. He’s 9 pound lower this year and running off 10-10.
Loves aintree.
Last year Tom scu picked him over soll & VR
He loves good ground and comes alive in the spring. His form doesn’t worry me as he is clearly a spring horse. I think he will stay the trip and run into a place if he stays on his feet.
66/1 is massive for horse which used to have a touch of class at grade 1 level.
Haven’t had a bet yet. But will have one soon.
Ante post lucky 15
CHAMPION HURDLE- BUVDAIR 5/1
JLT- NEON WOLF 12/1
RSA- YANWORTH (not priced yet)
GOLD CUP- DOUVAN 12/1
Not at all. That bet just loses all the other 3 selections are alive. But only 7 bets out the 15 left. 3 singles 3 doubles and 1 Trebble. One winner double odds is key as well and can be a big help.
But if have have done just accas ante post they are down the toilet.
Gutted about thistle cracks injury. Had him at 7/1 in a few lucky 15s and at shorter prices. So have lost half the stake! That’s ante post betting and the risk I taken. I can’t remember a year with so many big names and favs injured. Hope the horse recovers.
Not sure who I fancy for the gold cup now.
HENRY PARRY MORGAN 20/1 EW NRNB with sky bet for me.
In His races after the Hennessy he was travelling really well in his races before falling.
I’m hoping the handicapper drops him a few pounds to around 146 after his recent exter run. On best form this horse is very well handicapped, he was tanking in the bet 365 last year and his run behind native River is very good form.
Bowen’s horses are running well again. If he turns up he must have a chance if standing up.
NEWBURY
13:50 RED HANRAHAN 13/2
15:35 WAIT FOR ME 12/1
16:10 VIEIX LILLE 3/1 NAPWARICK
14:05 RONS DREAM 5/2
14:40 OVERTOWN EXPRESS 3/1
15:15 ON TOUR 7/1Happy punting
Mullins has had very bad luck this year! Ricci must be pissed off and wondering what’s going on.
I think York hill will be supplemented for the Champion hurdle even though connections have Nicolas canyon running the race.
What I don’t understand is why York hill wasnt entered in the first place knowing Faugheen and Annie were not firing?
If he stays chasing he will be JLT bound.
No zarkava just a £25 total. No book maker would accept £1550.
Most book makers ante post maximum payout is £200,000 with the exeption of bet 365 whose maximum pay out is a million.
I have also backed Garde La victoire 25/1 ew with betway W/O DOUVAN for champion chase. So may question marks at the front of the market and its the only race he has been entered in.
UDS- probably goes Ryan air
Fox norton- had a slight set back
Ar mad- recent set back
Sire de grugy- ground dependant and 11 year old
Gods own- might go Ryan air and prefers flat tracks
uxizandra- probably goes Ryanair
Special tiara- has lost the plot this seasonIf he turns up 25/1ew 3 places W/O DOUVAN is a steal as there is a high chance 6 or 7 will only turn up.
Did a £25 EW LUCKY 31 yesterday with BF sports book
Pertemps- Presenting Percy 33/1
Champion Chase- Garde La Victoire 20/1 W/O Douvan
Brown Advisory- Bouverial 16/1
RSA- Might Bite 11/2
Gold Cup- Don Poli 9/1 W/O Thistle Crack -
