No entries for Contingent in the French 1000 Guineas or Prix Diane. I hope she isn’t injured – I am really looking forward to seeing her this coming season.

Good debut win for Frankel’s enormous son Farooq in Australia last night. Jess Samy has a video on his Twitter feed but I couldn’t find one anywhere else

Lots of Frankel news around today. Fratelli won on debut in Japan and looks a nice, big sort.

Cracksman will be heading for the Prix Ganay on April 29th and has wintered well.

Monarch’s Glen is going to Dubai for the Turf. He got better and better last season and will be interesting to see how he goes in Group 1 company.

    Roll on that flat season!!!

    Nearly there Joni & Chaos
    Thanks for the updates.

I was in Newmarket at Palace House Heritage Centre yesterday, where there stands a big bronze of Frankel in the Courtyard.

The Retraining Of Racehorses doing a great job there with Sea The Stars gelding Royal Batallion doing well retraining as an eventer for his new owners after losing his confidence after a couple of falls on the racetrack and Palace Moon is also there retraining for his new career.
Fantastic charity all so dedicated to the welfare of our old friends. :good:

No need to say how I feel about the upcoming flat season..bring it on. :yahoo:

I thought Solo Saxophone ran a good race at Cheltenham this week. Clearly got bags of stamina. I wonder if they’ll consider having a go at one of the longer distance flat races this summer

Thanks for the info Joni, looks like you had a nice day Jac and it’s nice to see that horses are being retrained. Like a lot of us can’t wait. It’s not long now before things get going in earnest.

I was very pleased that Solo Saxophone got round safely but i do think they are rushing him, should have kept him in lower grade company this season till he got used to jumping.

Just thought you might like to know that Frankel and Noble Mission have a sister born on the 27th February you can see a picture of her and Kind here.

    Lovely picture Chaos. :good:
Kind is such a brilliant brood mare and so well named, just look at her face looking down at her foal.

Frankel’s little sister will thrive with a mum like Kind to care for her just as Frankel did and hopefully she will inherit all his qualities and go on to achieve fame on the racecourse.

Her future is certainly assured with Juddmonte whatever she achieves, a little Princess amongst all the Kings and Queens of the turf. Jac

Elarqam is going straight to the 2000gns, he’s having a couple of racecourse gallops beforehand. Mark Johnston said he’s wintered well and he did the same with his dam Attraction before she won the 1000gns, who looks just like Elarqam. There is a video of her winning on Racing Post. Everything will be crossed for that. :good:

Well done to Simply Brilliant. £170,000 for his two wins in a Class 3 and a Class 2 handicap might make UK owners a bit jealous of the prize money out there, but certainly boosts Frankel’s worldwide earnings. His final Official Rating in the UK (as Senator) was 91. His initial Official Rating in Hong Kong was 73!!, and after three seconds and a third his two wins came when his rating was 80 and 88. I wonder how they worked out that initial rating?
