9/4 was a steal as no idea why they made
Wootton favourite he hadn’t even won at the distance
Great to have you back Joni…not long to the flat now

JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 23, 2019 at 04:57 #1403016Just letting you all know Eminent ran very well for his first GP1 race in Aus, came second only beaten by 1l

All comers, all ground, all beaten
March 23, 2019 at 10:26 #1403051Really good run by Eminent (now called “He’s Eminent”). Looked like winning but tied up a bit near the line – maybe got tired or couldn’t quite pick up on the soft ground. Not given a hard race once beaten though. Very encouraging for his first run as his price (18-1) suggests he wasn’t really fancied.

Well done Eminent you lovely boy
Kings Advice leads all the way to take the last at Kempton tonight
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 9, 2019 at 23:09 #1416963HAPPY BIRTHDAY CRACKSMAN
All comers, all ground, all beaten
April 13, 2019 at 23:10 #1417433Kings Advice makes it 4 on the trot today. Sadly He’s Eminent struggled today, they should think of retirement for him, not the same horse since his heart problem.

April 14, 2019 at 10:19 #1417455Hope he does Chaos and why did they change his name
he’ll always be a winner in my books
Looking forward to going to see Cracksman in August this year, late birthday present from my racing friend and partner in crime and to getting back on the Rowley Mile next week for the Nell Gwyn and Craven…can’t wait. Hope you can get down sometime this year Joni hopefully to see TDH for the Guineas…Jac

Kings Advice is a real star turn for our boy.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 14, 2019 at 10:56 #1417456Frankely Awesome ran 3rd in the G1 Australian Oaks too! I think she’ll be a G! winner in due course.
Todd is blaming ear plugs on Eminent’s poor run and still plans to take him to Hong Kong (and then a campaign back in the UK). I agree that it would be safer to retire him now.
April 14, 2019 at 17:36 #1417646If Todd is blaming ear plugs then why use them anyway, makes no sense. Glad you and Jac agree with me anyway.
I’m hoping to see Frankel this year as it will be my last chance, should have done it earlier but hey ho didn’t expect to be given a terminal diagnosis last December, come to terms with it now, so this will probably my last flat season. Thanks to Joni for starting this thread and to all who have contributed to it.

April 14, 2019 at 18:31 #1417648Chaos…firstly deeply saddened by your news but glad that you are going to see Frankel because the power of horses to lift the spirits is amazing especially one that you hold so close to your heart.
When my daughter was seriously ill (Leukaemia) at 2 years old and again at 5 it was Desert Orchid and the thought of going to see him that helped her through, I was a member of his fan club and we were invited every year to come and see him at his home in Ab Kettleby near Melton Mowbray. Richard Burridge even lifted her onto Dessies back I have the picture of us all with himself.
She is 32 now and got married last year.Hope that you have a good flat season Chaos with lots of little Frankels in the spotlight to enjoy and if you get the chance to come up to Newmarket races within your Frankel time let me know.
Joni and I have both been…I’ve been twice and it’s amazing how close you get to him..please let us know how you get on we’ll be thinking of you.
Love and good wishes..Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 15, 2019 at 11:13 #1417687Dreadfully sorry to hear that Chaos50. I feel like I know the members of this forum and consider regular contributors to this thread are particular friends. It wouldn’t be the first time Frankel has inspired somebody to exceed doctors’ expectations so best of luck.
He’s going to leave the ear plugs out next time, but it sounds like a lame excuse to me. The horse never seemed to be travelling.
April 16, 2019 at 23:51 #1417860Thank you both for your kind words, i’ve had a good life with no regrets, there are a lot of people who do not.
Anyway this brought a smile to my face.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 25, 2019 at 13:38 #1421725Eminent is going to contest the QE11 in Sha Tin, he’s apparently in good spirits according to his trainer who stated that if he runs well he will be returning to England for a pop at the Prince Of Wales Royal Ascot

Please run well Eminent and hurry home, but most of all stay sound and safe…
