I’m fine Mike, I always do my weekly update of the league on Monday so as to
get a full view of the previous week. I’m working my way through the stables
at the moment and I’ll give a full rundown of how the league is doing shortly.

    Roundup for week 3

Well as expected there were few high flyers this week and a few pulling the duvet over
their heads and dreaming about happier times. I’m definitely in the 2nd bracket

I thought Man Superstars looked like a hot stable last week, and that’s the way it
turned out. A superb win by Love in the Oaks, aided by hitting the forecast with
Ghaiyyath and Enable in the Eclipse, and a slightly disappointing Frankly Darling
in 3rd in the Oaks rocketed MS from 6th place last week to King Of the castle and
leading the league with 239.51 PTS. Superb stuff MS :yahoo:

Another riser, from 4th to 2nd is Middle of March who also had the f/c in the
Eclypse with Ghaiyyath and Enable. Ghaiyyath looked an absolute monster and it’s
hard to see anyone getting past him with that performance. Enable will come good
I’ve no doubt about that despite the detractors who are saying she’s over the hill.
MOM also has my idea of the winner of the July Cup, the very promising Art Power
who coasted home at Naas. All in all that’s a very nice rise of 85.82 PTS and boosts
MOM up from 4th last week to 2nd place. Nicely done MOM :good:

Neil’s Horses For Courses, despite having the superb Love in his stable and adding a
healthy 52,9 points, has been ousted by a gruesome twosome and will need to settle
for 3rd place after having the league trailing in his wake for the past couple of weeks.
That could all change again next week with Neil having a few very likely lads in the
shape of Battash running at the Curragh next Sunday and the impressive Golden Horde,
winner of the Commonwealth Cup and favourite for the Darley July Cup. He also has
that reliable old warrior, The Tin Man, running in the same race. Best of luck with
    them Neil :good:

Biggest mover up the league this week is Midnight, who was propping up the league, but
courtesy of Ghaiyyath, Enable, Love and Billesdon Brook has soared to a very respectable
4th place with 202.05 PTS. It just shows what 1 week can do and gives hope to all (that
would be me then) that are still hovering at the tail end. Magnificent move Midnight, very
    well done :good:

Another notable impressive move this week comes from Dark Angels, who stayed loyal to
her boys (and girls) in blue and was rewarded with the superb wins by Ghaiyyath and
Love and a bold 3rd by Peaceful. Some huge points and nice move up from 15th to 7th.
Well done Jac, I think there’s many more points to come from that trio. It puts you on
a very decent 177.16 PTS :good:

The rest of us either stayed much as we were, but most of us dropped down
a bit, some in freefall (no names no pack drill  ). Nonetheless there were some
interesting horses emerging such as A’Ali for Frankel1234, who looked like a very decent
horse winning the Coral Charge. English King didn’t do Bourne Losers any favours and Cross
counter was one I was hoping would pay off but he could only manage 3rd. A similar fate
for the disappointing Frankly Darling also left me languishing down the league.

The July meeting to look forward to this week, and hopefully we can scrape a few more
points out of that. Some great scores and I so wish they had got round to the idea of
a league of leagues, I would fancy our chances in that.

Best of luck this week all :good:

Thank you for a very interesting and informative Week 3 roundup Graham and with the form you are in it won’t be too long before you are galloping up that table to challenge the leaders.

Well done all the high movers this week it really was a feast of good racing and glad that my girls and boys are on their way at last. :good:

    Week 4 roundup

A few minor moves in the league although not enough knock Man Superstars of the top spot.
Along with quite a few others, MS relied on Pinatubo who graciuosly obliged in the Prix
Jean Pratt at Deauville to keep him ahead of the posse. It was quite a relief to see
Pinatubo show some of the great promise he displayed as the top 2year old. If not exactly
back to that, it was a big step in the right direction. He’s been getting a lot of
criticism, unfairly in my view, you would have thought he came trailing in tailed
off in his last 2 with some of the comments. I’m keeping the faith he will prove to
be top notch. Well done Mike :good:

Neil and Middle Of March swap places in 2nd and 3rd with Neil getting the better of
that joust with both having Pinatubo but Neil adding a few extra points with Golden
Horde, who had his own battle up front with Sceptical only for young Fallon Jnr to
come late and mug them both. He looks like he could be as good as his dad.

Midnight manages to hold his 4th spot, and might judge himself a little unlucky with
Billesdon Brook beaten into 3rd in a 3 way bunch finish. Unlucky but still 6.4 points
which could prove to be important late on.

Dark Angels is the only stable that managed to move up 2 places, 7th to 5th, again courtesy
of Jac’s darling Pinatubo. I’ve no doubt he made your day on Sunday Jac, and he’ll be back
after a rest to show he’s the business. Very well done Jac :good:

At a Canter drops a place, 6th to 5th, but picks up 13.9 valuable points with Terebellum who
even with Frankie on board could only manage 3rd in the falmouth stakes at newmarket.

Not a lot of movement lower than here, but still good points won for Frankel1234, Unbearables
and Francis Family with the star of the week, Pinatubo :yahoo:

The only other horse to gain points for their stable was Make A Challenge, who won a nice listed
race at the curragh on Saturday for Barrow Raiders. It gets you one step up the ladder Barrow,
up to 14th. heading in the right direction :good:

That’s about it for this week, some decent cards at the weekend, particularly at York and the
Curragh, with the Irish Oaks where a few have a vested interest in the outcome there. If Love
heads there I think the rest of us, I say us I mean me, will be floundering behind.

Thanks for the update, Graham. Left it this week as it doesn’t take 2 of us so I’ll leave it to you. Golden Horde was a disappointment, but Pinatubo came good with 27.7 points a surprise as I’d written him off. :yahoo:

Thanks Graham for updating every week really look forward to it and must say was pleased to see Pinatubo make a welcome return to the winners enclosure. I didn’t think for a nano second about leaving him out of my Stable it was never an option.

Looking forward to the battle ahead and lots of decent races to gain us all lots of points. :good: and especially looking forward to Love if she runs the Irish Oaks..or even Peaceful

Well done to Mike for keeping top position.

Cheers Neil, it’s not a problem, I can witter on at length with the best of them :mail:
Yes I’m sure you’re well pleased that you kept Pinatubo in, I’ve got him in my other
entries, but not this one

I knew without any doubt you would have him in Jac I can’t believe I left him out this entry,
I think with the spread of 3 paid and 1 free it can be considered in case of injury (hush my mouth)
just not the one that the bloody league is in

    Week 5 Update

Well it’s going to be short and sweet this week, at least it’s sweet for Frankel1234
    and Francis Family.

Frankel seems to have found one that none the rest of us saw coming in A’Ali, and he
didn’t need the urgings of Frankie at Sandown, when getting the better of the very useful
Liberty Beach, Colin Keane did equally as well when winning a Group 2 at the Curragh on
Sunday. He’s definitely on the upgrade and could be heading to the Group 1 Derrinstown
Stud Flying Five Stakes next month. That was a shrewd choice Frankel and I reckon he
could run up a good score in the competition. The biggest mover in the league this week
from 7th to 4th, great stuff :yahoo:

Frankel may have been the biggest mover, but the top scorer this week is Francis Family.
A nicely bred Persian King, who had already given FF a nice few points at Saint-Cloud,
ran out an impressive winner in the Group 1 Prix d’Lspahan at Chantilly yesterday. He
looks like he’s one that could step up in distance, and he could take on the Group 1
Irish Champion Stakes over 10f at Leopardstown next month. I hope they keep my very
favourite french jockey, Pierre-Charles Boudet, on him.

A couple of points here and there, but no further major movement in the league. There
could be more movement after the weekend, there’s a decent batch of horses running in
the King George V and Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes, which incidentally is a Bonus Race.
Anthony Van Dyke, Enable, Fanny Logan, Japan and Magical all feature in various stables.
Very best of luck to all that have runners this week :good:

TTTF gave points yesterday for Barney Roy winning a Group 1 in Munich..today they have taken them away.

Now I never expected to get the points as I understood from the rules that points are only awarded for racing in UK, Ireland and France but was pleasantly surprised albeit a bit puzzled when I found he had 30 points.

This makes me wonder who is running this comp not understanding their own rules awarding points and taking them away again with no explanations. It was only my free stable but to someone nearer top of Leaderboard on a paid stable that could have been crucial and then seeing points awarded just disappear into thin air is a bit of a shambles really .. rant over.. :mail:

Just thought I’d highlight the fact that it happened and that someone working for the Tote has no idea where Munich is. Jac

    In reply to Jac

I received an e-mail today with this message being part of it
    Two more Group race winners
There were two other horses to land Group race Ten to Follow points over the weekend.

Aspetar was the biggest non bonus race scorer of the week with 36.1 points landed thanks to his surprise success in the York Stakes on Saturday. Of those points 16.1 were thanks to his hefty Tote dividend on the Knavesmire.

Meanwhile, in Germany on Sunday, Barney Roy confirmed he had plenty more winning to do, by landing a Group 1 in Munich to add 28.8 points to the 6% of stables that selected the Godolphin star.

Helana at the tote as confirmed that this race does not count (Only GB Ireland & France) and as you say someone
does not know the rules of the competition.

Thanks John for confirming that :good:

Sounds like poor old Helana left to be the bearer of bad news.

I could understand this a bit more if it were a just for fun competition but they are dealing with some serious punters and syndicates who have put quite a lot of money into this and it really is so unprofessional on their part.

Apologies for my late appearance today, it’s been a bit busy. Thanks Mike for posting

That an absolute shocker Jac, the site is bad enough, but when the people who run
the competition don’t know which way we’re going, it’s more than a bit worrying.
