Selby’s eye didn’t miss that opening red.edit – or the second.

April 21, 2014 at 21:58 #476491Selby home and dry, now to see how Ding copes with a bit of crucible pressure especially if it goes 9-9.

April 21, 2014 at 23:17 #476501Well played Michael Wasley, he fluked the last red but deserved to win anyway.
Martin Gould has his first session with Marco Fu at 10am tomorrow, I hope he gets off to a flyer.
April 24, 2014 at 10:18 #476692I’ll chance a few quid on O’Sullivan beat Perry 13-8 and 13-7 correct score, although I don’t expect too many problems for Ronnie I think Perry is slightly under-rated and can can a few frames off the ‘genius’

said with taking into consideration forum’s law and ready and looking forward to the O’Sullivan whitewashing him now.

April 24, 2014 at 19:55 #476734Hopefully that century will get Ronnie some confidence and back in the grove 4-2 down.

at the moment very un Ronnie like with 25% longshot success.

April 25, 2014 at 08:20 #476761Saw most of this session last night and Ronnie looked a little out of sorts, although to be fair Perry did a good job on him. The 13-7/8 scoreline is still a possibility though if Ronnie gets among the balls early in the next session and has one of those memorable ones where he is just about unplayable.
April 25, 2014 at 10:25 #476772Agree Homer and with so many frames still to play the 2/7 in running for Ronnie looks generous enough. There has been a lot of talk about the bounce off the cushions and watching the Selby/Carter match the ball at times has been pinging off the sides, this will not favour Ronnie who likes to play through the ball and likes to strike it firmly.

Could it be due to his haircut ?
April 25, 2014 at 22:32 #476852O’Sullivan has to be over the moon to be only 9-7 down. He won both the scrappy frames towards the end of today’s session but if Perry keeps up the same level of form he can still win.
April 25, 2014 at 22:46 #476855Don’t think Ronnie likes morning sessions and can see him throwing in the towel before 10.30 AM tomorrow if Perry has won the first frame. He will not be best pleased to be three frames adrift of journeyman Joe and needs to get off to a flier.
At the same time he could easily win the six frames required but he’s always a dodgy betting proposition at short odds.

April 26, 2014 at 14:22 #476983Well done mate, Ronnie should go on to be champ again but my money is on Selby and Robertson – also a small bet on Trump who should win it one year but could also turn out to be another Jimmy White.
April 26, 2014 at 14:26 #476986One of the three you mention should make the final, Selby will play McManus or Doherty in the next round and if both Trump and Robertson get through they will play eachother. Robertson probably the best of the 3 for my money but will have to beat Mark Allen, Trump? and Selby? to get to the final. Not the nicest route is it.

April 26, 2014 at 16:20 #477009The turning point was a dodgy red from Ronnie which wiped its feet 3 or 4 times before gravity took over. After that it was vintage stuff. Well done Nathan. I’d say Robertson is probably the main danger although Selby is a battler.
April 29, 2014 at 20:34 #477318Neil Robertson doing a Bingham, wait for the shot on the green….

April 30, 2014 at 21:12 #477433100 century breaks in a season for Robertson, I didn’t quite expect him to celebrate like that. Needs to get himself focussed again now at 11 frames all.
