Ronnie’s found his mojo this evening……

May 2, 2014 at 21:07 #477668He looks to be peaking at the right time.
Whoever from Selby or Robertson make it, I’m sure it will be a belter of a final. The atmosphere seems to be turning up a notch or two.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
May 3, 2014 at 20:43 #477924Poor Robertson looks shattered and not surprising considering this and the Trump match he has endured.

May 3, 2014 at 21:09 #477930They’ve both got bags under their eyes, dandruff, limping.
Where’s Ronnie? tucked up in bed with his hot water bottle.

May 3, 2014 at 21:28 #477934Well done to Selby. Feel sorry for Robertson he seemed Tired this evening and although knocked in some good long pots was not his fluent self and was more gritty the flash.
Bring on the final.

May 5, 2014 at 21:20 #478164Great final and very well played Selby on winning his first world title.
May 5, 2014 at 21:23 #478165Indeed Mr. P.
Congratulations to Mark Selby, if anybody deserves to win the World Championship and get his name on the roll of honour with his consistency over the years it’s him. He’s done me out of a nice pay packet but Ronnie was never in full flow and had to take advantage of Selby’s low scoring yesterday, Selby must have thought he’d won the lottery only going down 10-7 and stepped up his match play today and was very tough.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
May 5, 2014 at 22:53 #478171Tough, solid display from Selby and thoroughly deserved his win. Ronnie never looked as though he was gonna reel him in but wasn’t firing on all cylinders IMO.
May 6, 2014 at 10:14 #478191Very true Ghost. Selby looked tired on the 1st day of the final which was to be expected after the Robertson duel but hang on in there and looked fresher and more confident yesterday. Ronnie although having some good results along the way was never in the form of earlier in the season when he looked untouchable. I’ve done my money but will battle on, starting with a few more days of overtime.

May 6, 2014 at 10:42 #478195Ronnie was missing balls that he should/would/could have put away in his sleep and his positional play was out of sorts in quite a few frames. I mean, how the hell did Ronnie miss that simple pink that would’ve put him 12 -11 ahead?
May 6, 2014 at 10:51 #478197I didn’t see a lot of the afternoon session as I was getting my overtime in early but did manage to catch bits and pieces on the tv at work, in one frame the green was near enough over the pocket and both players missed it. Don’t talk to me about the pink miss I was having nightmares in my sleep…..

May 7, 2014 at 11:47 #478287I was actually quite sad to see Selby winning the title, as I don’t like his style of play. He is a good ambassador for the game, but his negative tactics are NOT good for the development of the game for the UK youngsters
May 8, 2014 at 18:35 #478405The football equivalent of parking the bus.
I don’t mind these kind of tactics, nothing rule breaking and if it gives yourself a better chance of winning it would be foolish to play to your opponent’s strengths.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
