Personally don’t think this will be kamekos track
Whereas its the ideal track for both siskin and mohaather
If the race was at a stiffer track kameko would be the bet at the prices
I am biased though as Siskin is a horse I have followed every race
July 28, 2020 at 14:21 #1495366Yeah that’s the worry but even still, he’s done much more than Siskin has. Market doesn’t make a lot of sense
July 28, 2020 at 22:15 #1495450Not sure he’s done “much more”? the placed horses raced again at Ascot + Pinatubo won a G1 where LYF was close 2nd to him…On the whole he’s been questioned due to the slow race times, which is fair.
Don’t think he should be so short mind you.I’m with you on Vatican City. I was looking forward to San Donato on his next start, liked him as a 3yo, but he’d need to have come forward a lot. Potential bounce maybe as well.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!July 28, 2020 at 22:26 #1495453I have back Kamako @7.04/1 on boost and 13/2, I have a feeling I have done my money but maybe he will win but if he doesn’t that is racing and it’s only money. I always say like buses there will be another winner along soon. It was like when I back Limato at Newmarket first time out at 7/1. Nobody would back it but he won on his favorite track
July 28, 2020 at 22:53 #1495456LYF didn’t stay the Irish 2k though. If not much more it’s definitely more. It’s priced up purely on the assumption the track will suit one and not the other. Thats a dangerous assumption just like what everyone said about the Vertem Trophy, it just suited Kameko thats why he won.
That alone had him go off an incredible 14/1 really for that Guineas, considering the last 2 winners of that race went on to win the Guineas.
I’m of the thinking that it might not quite be his track, but I came to the conclusion he is definitely overpriced.
July 28, 2020 at 23:35 #1495459Frenchy we will see tomorrow what happens but I still think Kameko is the best horse in the race.
July 28, 2020 at 23:54 #1495464I can’t believe kameko is as big as 11/2, this is a silly price for the 2000 Guinness winner. Maybe everybody is looking at his Derby run or people are obsessed with Siskin. I don’t know but the price shouldn’t be that big.
July 29, 2020 at 00:11 #1495466A speed track and had a hard race in the derby must be putting people off
July 29, 2020 at 06:49 #1495477Agree jack, san donato is very interesting wven as a 40/1 shot if he replicated that form behind persian king, hes bang there in this, bounce is the only thing putting me off, as i said have backed vatican city, was flip flopping about adding kameko in and i still am so going to sit him out, decided to place lay mohather, just really dont like this price atall and i usually lay when i feel the ratings inflated, which his is IMO
July 29, 2020 at 08:31 #1495481I hope so Mike! Oisin Murphy is a wonderful role model for the younger demographic, really great guy. Great trainer also. If Kameko wins this then he is the best horse this season at 3 for sure winning on a track and quite possibly trip now that doesn’t ideally suit.
I personally think people just love Siskin for some reason. Kameko might have had a hard race in the Derby, he was a little bit warm beforehand as well, which is a slight worry as he never showed that before.
But in comparison, look what happened to Siskin the last time he travelled to the UK!! Yet people will have him go off at 2/1 or shorter in a Sussex.
There are some brave people out there, fair play to them if he goes and does it!
I’ve decided to have a saver on Circus Maximus as well. If there is a 4 year old to win I’ve convinced myself it won’t be Mohaather. San Donato might run well, but it would be a major shock if he won
July 29, 2020 at 09:02 #1495483Happy Sussex Stakes Day folks.

Sticking with my 2 ew antepost fancies – Mohaather & Kameko. Slight preference for the former but don’t mind either way.
Good luck all.
July 29, 2020 at 11:46 #1495502Ground officialy good all over and drying out even more
Have had a bit more on siskin at 3.55
I’m not normally one to follow the hype horses but this one hasn’t done me wrong yet and has won me plenty so happy to reinvest some of that today
Especially on his ideal track and ground, only worry is his draw and potential trouble in running
Id have preffered a wide draw so he could come round them in the straight like space blues
Gl all, hopefully we see a potential superstar to rival Palace pier today whether that is siskin, mohaather or kameko
July 29, 2020 at 11:57 #1495507yeah good luck all, I think everyone’s so excited for this race, at least let’s hope it’s a proper race and then lets see!
Fascinating to watch the market unfold this morning. CM comes crashing in to as low at 5, the drifts right out again. Kameko doing the opposite and now the Wichita money coming.
Great race and great market!
July 29, 2020 at 12:19 #1495510Its a good betting heat
If you have a strong opinion everything is backable
July 29, 2020 at 13:19 #1495526I have to back Vatican City at that price. Close to Siskin in the Guineas, put a line through the Derby run.
July 29, 2020 at 13:24 #1495528Taken Mohaather at 3/1 and Wichita at 7/1, and flung in the rev/fc for good luck
July 29, 2020 at 15:22 #1495554Get in Mo!
