Well done winners.
July 29, 2020 at 15:23 #1495556Murphy wont want to look at that again. Very unfortunate.
July 29, 2020 at 15:27 #1495557Tell me about it, terrible ride Murphy.
July 29, 2020 at 15:29 #1495558Maybe cost him a place doubt he was winning there..

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!July 29, 2020 at 15:29 #1495559Well done lads, wasnt a price for me today and i needed to see him reproduce before i believed it, but yeah, definitely the best horse out of them, kameko could have finished a touch closer, but Definitely wouldnt have won
July 29, 2020 at 15:29 #1495560Murphy crying post race saying he would’ve won. Too late now lol
July 29, 2020 at 15:30 #1495561Siskins a sprinter isn’t he
Travelled all over them but got outstayed even at goodwood
Could be some horse at 6/7f
Makes me slightly upset about the 22/1 I had on him to win the commonwealth cup
July 29, 2020 at 15:33 #1495562Hard to tell Ff he might need a stiffer mile rather than the quicker mile, but then again i can see that angle that 7f looks ideal, we will know NTO for certain
Over a stiff mile mohather might struggle against CM, hes ran a cracker again there, but a deserved winner today regardless taking nothing away from him,
July 29, 2020 at 15:37 #1495564If you make your game plan public 24 hours beforehand, you can’t complain when your opponents ensure you you do not carry it out.
“Oisin told me how he will ride Kameko yesterday “…..Francesca Cumani.July 29, 2020 at 15:53 #1495570Murphy admits it was jockey error.
July 29, 2020 at 15:59 #1495571Oisin Murphy who is still smarting after the Sussex Stakes: “He jumped smartly and I wanted to take a lead. In the straight I couldn’t find any room and I feel the best horse didn’t win on the day.
“These things happen, it was jockey error. I was full of horse for most of the race.”
July 29, 2020 at 16:10 #1495574I don’t think we can say Kameko would not have won that, he ran a cracker for me. It actually makes me wonder (and I did think this after the Guineas) that actually he is a miler. They are obviously targeting him at the Juddmonte, but I’m not as confident as I was about that now. If the gound was to come up good on Champions Day, sometimes it does, he would have a great chance there in the QEII. I think I’d be all over him if he turned up there. He needs a strong mile to be at his best, not sure about 10F.
We can’t be too hard on Oisin, he’s what? 22. Give the guy a break. What he’s doing for Racing right now we should all get behind him. He is making mistakes for me this season, but he’s still learning at 22 isn’t he?
Frankie Dettori is not my best friend right now though!!
Overall, that is a cracking result for the sport, really happy for Marcus Tregoning! Well done for those that had the faith in him!

FF, I think it’s ground dependent on Siskin. I also had 20s on the CC, I had him down to drop back in trip this season, but on that run, I wouldn’t be so sure now actually. Had he run on GF I think he would have beaten Mohaather.
I actually said something similar earlier on, on this thread. If it’s quick side of good, Siskin, if it’s slow side Mohaather. Didn’t follow that obviously!

Happy with Kameko’s run though.
Most of all, what a race! Absolutely loved that and won nothing. Can’t wait until we can go back and watch it on track!
July 29, 2020 at 16:20 #1495576Hopefully they will still go to the Juddmonte.
July 29, 2020 at 16:26 #1495578oh I think they will definitely. And he’s out to 10/1. For sure worth backing at 10s, I’ll bring that up on the thread there.
But here, it wasn’t the strongest pace on a speed track and had he not got boxed in he would have gone very close.
Does that necessarily mean he’s a 10F horse? Not so sure now.
If he wins the Juddmonte on what he’s showing over a mile, he is some horse actually.
July 29, 2020 at 16:49 #1495585Kameko had chances to get out a few times but wasn’t good enough to take it. Mothaather took his place at one stage and had his momentum completely checked with VC going backwards yet still managed to gather it back up.
The best horse on the day won.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
July 29, 2020 at 16:55 #1495589Not taking anything away from Mohaather, but I don’t agree with that at all. Kameko doesn’t have the acceleration Mohaather does, so he needed to get motoring in the straight and wasn’t allowed to do it. What a race to have back again with Kameko drawn 6.
Mohaather won because he has instant acceleration. If the ground is good and they both turn up, I’d back Kameko over Mohaather at the QEII.
But don’t want that to sound like sour grapes, Mohaather won fair and square on the day.
July 29, 2020 at 16:59 #1495593I think Kameko had the chance though to get a run but wasn’t quick enough to take it therefore I don’t think he was as unlucky as the jockey was making out
