That’s a pity to read Nick
I once taught a former Romanian boxing (welter weight) Champion in English and accountancy, and he told me that boxing is a mind game similar to chess
, but I hardly believed him
Me myself and I was always more or less a coward, so rowing has been the very healthy and right decision for me
I wouldn’t say I owe it my life, but indeed I tend to have some mental problems with depression etc, which I can actively fight with my sport, but that’s a different story
I indeed hope we will meet again on our wonderful Meydan thread very soon
July 17, 2020 at 13:29 #1494153Oh i know it was. I just couldn’t make sense of your comment on him that was all

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!July 21, 2020 at 20:20 #1494626Ground is Good , watering in progress , Becoming more unsettled with showers towards the weekend with some showery rain on Saturday. Sunny spells and showers for Sunday and Monday.
Why are they still watering!????
July 22, 2020 at 06:19 #1494644I agree Circus Maximum is underated but just feel that like last year something will be too good for him. He’s out to 12.0 on betfair exchange that is a worry.
Its a hard race to call but I can’t not have a bet in a 1m Group 1 so have backed Mohaather at 3.9 . His last run was visually very impressive and he could be very good.
July 22, 2020 at 13:23 #1494666Andre Fabre said about Earthlight today, that he’s full of pace and looks a real sprinter, but he’s convinced he will get further.
Upto the owner, but sounded encouraging he might go. Trainers usually get their way in these circumstances I feel.
What do they have to lose? Not winning a Prix M de G? So what.
WHAT…..A……RACE!
July 22, 2020 at 13:39 #1494673Just added a little bit to my earthlight bet @16/1, it’s a gamble if he runs or not but if he gets declared then the price will shorten very quickly and I have Kameko @around 7/1.
July 22, 2020 at 21:54 #1494718Earthlight if he takes part has split then camp in my house.
If he shows I’d have him in at 4s while my son has him in at 10s
July 23, 2020 at 07:47 #1494731I’d have him nearer 4s on the day as well, which makes my 25 antipost look quite nice, decs today , Here’s hoping.
July 23, 2020 at 12:41 #1494750Earthlight not running. Damn, I really wanted to see what he could do over a mile.
July 23, 2020 at 12:53 #1494751B*llocks!
Well I wasn’t convinced he would stay anywayJuly 23, 2020 at 12:59 #1494752Going to keep him at 6F for now. It would have been nice to see if he stayed.
July 23, 2020 at 14:42 #1494762Looks an absolute belter of a race
July 23, 2020 at 21:45 #1494785Goodwood are still watering even though it’s Good all over pretty much. Showers still forecast. Cannot go in antipost like this. Will wait for Monday’s final decs I think
July 24, 2020 at 00:22 #1494798It’s like Royal Ascot they kept on watering even though rain was coming. Are they scared of good to firm
July 24, 2020 at 03:20 #1494808A proper race this looks.
Is the Ballydoyle horse a bit of a modern day Giants Causeway?
The Maktoum horse looked terrific LTO, but will he find trouble again, especially at Goodwood?
Siskin could be anything, but again might find traditional Goodwood bother if overly held-up.
Kameko could be a huge price back over a mile.
I’ll probably do Kameko / CM RFC for a sporting interest, gambling the two flashy travellers get trouble in running on the Downs.
BUY THE SUN
July 24, 2020 at 12:02 #1494818Persistent rain forecast on Monday
Let’s hope the watering doesn’t lead to soft ground
Want to see gd ground and a level playing field for all
July 24, 2020 at 12:53 #1494821I am not seeing a persistent rain forecast for next week. Maybe some tomorrow PM.
Light rain tomorrow morning and then risk of heavy showers in the afternoon/evening. Sunny spells and chance of a shower for Sunday. Some light rain / showers about on Monday. Tuesday onwards looking dry and sunny.
