Had a small bet on Elgin @ 50’s E/W for this. Sure to appreciate better ground after trying to give 3 lbs to Neon Wolf last time on soft.

Hopefully very small.
February 25, 2017 at 08:39 #1288800Seriously excited about Charli parcs today!
Hoping he goes for the supreme!
This horse could be special I reckonFebruary 25, 2017 at 09:41 #1288812Hills 17 days to go special..
Charli Parcs to win the Adonis BY 5L or more and any race at the festival 17-1…

I should of cashed out.
February 25, 2017 at 10:08 #1288819Thanks for heads up I’ll have a dabble…

This horse could be special I reckonJudging by what Nicky Henderson has just said on The Opening Show, it looks as though the decision will depend on the ground. It sounds like Défi du Seuil will go for whichever race is likely to be run on softer ground.
February 25, 2017 at 10:51 #1288834Melon last matched at 9 on the machine… Surely not another one gone?

It is quite often softest on the opening day so as the market has not moved to suggest that the Triumph favourite will be re-routed I suspect there will be more to this decision than simply the ground. I get the impression that Charli Parcs is the slicker and speedier of the two so he would be one most suited to more of a speed test and that would obviously be the Supreme.

He should be 10/1 anyway

I like that bet
February 25, 2017 at 13:27 #1288887One of my fav races at the meeting, robbed with ‘Darlan’ 25/1 and ‘MTOY’ 25/1,nailed ‘Vautour’ 10/1 and ‘Altior’ 8/1 but Arcalis winning this in 2005 was my greatest result in the ‘Supreme’.’Senewalk’ was the long time Ante-Post fav for this even before Rich Ricci signed the cheque,he needs to do the same on ‘Cilaos emery’ if he’s got one for this years race I reckon. My idea of this years winner is another Grey…Capitaine 25/1 in places still, this fellow will be single figures if he wins the grade 1 Tolworth on Saturday and the logical stepping stone to the ‘Supreme’itself, yes I know Historically Tolworth winners tend to take the ‘Neptune’ route but this greys a free runner and 2m is his trip this year.I’m hoping he can run em ragged at Sandown and go to Cheltenham and lay it down to ‘Moon Racer’ a horse who has been trained for this for the past 2 years.
TAPK hasn’t lost faith in Capitaine but he really needs to make all today and gallop clear around Kempton to have a serious chance of doing the same at Cheltenham…11/4 has been taken today.

Im on capitaine aswell, but idont like any of the novices so far
Tame effort from CP will be surprised if he runs anywere bar the triumph now, thats if they take him there after that
February 25, 2017 at 14:14 #1288896I think after that fall CP will miss Cheltenham even if he is ok he hasn’t had a good enough prep to warrant a run.
I was really disappointed with the way he travelled, looked completely different to last time but he was finding under pressure and most likely would of come 2nd give the winner weight. But still not enough to win the triumph let alone the sipreme

Yes would assume theyll put him away after that, surely..

Capitane jumped really well in front but carries head too high. Got bags of ability but needs a very easy lead and gives up once challenged. Squiggle horse.
