Don’t think anyone really has any idea what’ll win, when the trainers themselves seem to know so little about which race to send their horses to it hardly fills us punters with confidence, especially when there seems to be holes in the form of almost every horse in the race.

Doubt I’ll even have a bet on the Supreme this year, which saddens me.

Ruby dosen’t get it wrong to often Ben. He’ll ride Melon – and theirs your winner

Im just highlighting what was said, bunk off early was always coming here after the deloitte, more chance of crack mome being left at home than bunk off early, different owners though who will have had wanted a runner in it for sure

crack mome, melon, cilaos emery, bunk off early are all supreme definites aslong as there ok i gathered from today

He did highlight melons work at home, but also highlighted the others have improved id be fairly happy if youv got bigger prices on any of them (like youv just stated)

While Melon may win, I couldn’t back him at his current odds given he’s only won a maiden and the holes in the form are bigger than the mariana trench

And Crack Mome was my pick at the odds, but the JP horse he was battling before coming down in his last outing raced yesterday and was firmly put in his place (apologies for forgetting its name).

The route in with Crack Mome was that Mullins thought enough of it to bung it down the same route as douvan/vautour. That in my eyes puts it top of the pecking order at Willies at the time. Chatted to an A.T.R presenter at Chepstow and she put me onto Melon probably 4 months ago. I don’t think the other 2 mullins horses make the frame.

If it was based on the route they send horses then airlie beach would be a definite for this race, its circumstantial, what horse is ready at what time, people say he didnt know what juvenile was his best thats why he fired 5 in the deloitte but thats nonsense, he got a late start in the season, his horses werent sparking at home, a lack of options meant he had to fire 5 at that race

any of the 4 of his in the supreme could win, he virtually said it himself, “although he did without saying it bluntly indicate melon as the #1”

Ok mate, The mullins stable tour is on the shambolic Sporting Life website so i’ll have a watch now. I thought Bunk off Early was tailormade for Aintree but Willie certainly knows more than me

Life’s been up and down for me this past year. We just hit a big down with my Wife’s sister being diagnosed with non-operable cancer. It’s just a matter of how long. I suppose writing here helps me take my mind of her predicament.

I had been pissing about on another forum but my heart wasn’t really in it. People there don’t seem to want to discuss why a horse might win, it’s more about just stumbling across winners from time to time. The amount and quality of discussion just wasn’t there.

My horse of this season has been Native River. I had him ante-post for the Hennessy and The Welsh National. I also backed him for the Gold Cup at 33/1. There was just something about him made me see him as an exciting young chaser.

Anyway, as the wise old man once said, “Confuse Us, he say take no truck with forum that has ANTI-POST section”

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

That’s the one, looks a chaser in the making to me, one for the JLT or RSA next year.
