Perfection, just about, by Derek O’Connor there on Salute Him at Ballinrobe! If he hadn’t got up there would be plenty of angry punters, thats for sure!
If ever a horse has run shocking races for his ability it’s P’Tit Fute. Yes, this is the horse who used to carry top weight and hack up in handicap hurdles on a regular basis a couple of seasons ago. The horse who the handicapper crucified at Cheltenham yet still ran a cracker.
A chase rating some 20 pounds lower than his hurdles rating
This horse has Galway written all over him, and it might not be the festival 
I was never really a fan of Showcasing for the Golden Jubilee, especially at the price he was, but I must admit to have been quite taken by the confidence behind the horse.
With no apparent explanation for that run, maybe it was just "one of those things". At 25/1, he’s worth €5 e/w. With the Champion jockey up, he’ll go off half that!

Fingal Rock is 11/10 with Paddy Power. However, the same firm price her up at Evens in their Faller Insurance market. Considering she fell last time out, this isn’t a bad price at all. I’m having as big a bet as I’ve had since Quevega at Punchestown on her, €40 win @ Evens. Lope De Vega has beaten most of these before so I’ve had had a tenner win double also at 11/10 and 11/10.

If evea horse was looked after in the closing stages of the race it was New Phase there at Limerick. Galway anyone?!
Fingal Rock found one too good today.I thought she was head and shoulders above that field but I live to fight another day.
Grey Soldier is a horse who Gordon Elliot has rated very highly. A handicap hurdle should be well within his compass off his current rating. He has very good form from maiden hurdles over the winter. €15 e/w @ 10/3.

I’ve had €5 e/w on Leo Gali at Roscommom today. 15/2 is too big a price about this filly, who I thought looked high class when winning her maiden earlier this year. She has some very good 2yo form and is still highly unexposed.

TAPK is very sweet on Imposing for the John Smiths Cup. It’s easy to see why. he’s been raised just 3lbs for a cracking Royal Ascot run where he probably should have won. €7.50 e/w @ 13/2.

The Falmouth is the big race on tomorrow’s Newmarket card. I backed Music Show in the Coronation and she didn’t receive the best of rides from Ryan Moore. She was unlucky in the Irish 1000, and the form of the first 3 home in her side of the English 1000 looks good. She should be able to make the frame.
However, Lillie Langtry will take some beating. She stamped herself as the leading filly of her generation when putting in a brilliant performance in the Coronation, and a reproduction of that and she’s already in the winner’s enclosure imo.
