Wee Giant fav on Betfair at around 6/4 now
Must be showing a helluva lot more than his modest rating of 61!June 29, 2010 at 08:58 #303737Willie Mullin’s Wee Giant is interesting in the finale at Sligo tomorrow evening. Formerly trained by Kevin Ryan, this is his first outing for Mullins. I’m sure we’re all aware of the improvement Mullins is able get out of horses that have raced at other stables previously, and Pat Smullen would hardly ride a no-hoper. He’s currently the 3rd fav on Betfair and he’s one to keep an eye on tomorrow.
Very interesting, any idea how often Pat has ridden for Willie Mullins?

To be honest CS I’m not sure. He peobably has ridden for him in the past but I can’t recall any particular instances unfortunately. If I was a top trainer who had a horse who I thought was nailed on Pat Smullen would be top on the list to do the job! Hopefully that’s the case today, could be worth a tenner anyway
June 29, 2010 at 09:40 #303747I’ve had €10 win on Wee Giant @ 5/2 anyway.
+ €235.15

June 29, 2010 at 11:51 #303762The money seems to be down, hope it’s the right stuff! Goodluck

I’ve missed the price while taking the dog for a swim in the loch
Still….I’ve had a few bob on at 7/4 anywayJune 29, 2010 at 16:30 #303805With a quick glace at the Bellwestown card for Sunday, Fingal Rock looks the standout entry in the novice hurdle.
June 29, 2010 at 18:25 #303813The 7.50 1m 2f maiden at Sligo is hort on quality. Dermot Weld’s Maunsells Duke is worth a punt at 9/2. Last time out he shaped as if the the extra furlong would be right up his alley. €5 e/w @ 9/2
+ €225.15
June 29, 2010 at 19:25 #303826As I’ve said before i firmly believe there’s a Group 1 in Mawatheeq. I’ve had €10 e/w @ 7/1 for the Eclipse, and also €5 e/w @ 8/1 about Viscount Nelson. I can’t help but feel that if any of the horses who finished just infront of him in the French Derby were running they’d be half the price.
+ €195.15
June 29, 2010 at 19:32 #303827Beethoven is another who interests me in the Eclipse. The trip shouldn’t be a problem, being out of a Sadlers Wells mare. Obviously Twice Over has a chance, I backed him the last day but I’d be expecting Mawatheeq to strip much fitter on Saturday.
June 29, 2010 at 19:55 #303830Tame enough effort from Wee Giant
. Still though, @ 5/2 he was worth a punt.

Pulled too hard and didn’t settle at all
July 1, 2010 at 10:14 #303979Samuelo Morse ran a good race at the weekend, and given that Johnny Murtagh passe dover that horse in favour of Zoffanny in the Coventry says it all. He’s taken to win today. €22 win @ 8/11. Swiftmarc has been in great form lately and he should win the last race, where quality looks thin on the ground. €10 win @ 3/1, and a €10 double on the two of them.
+ €155.15
July 2, 2010 at 10:28 #304148Zoffanny won with ease bu the double was sunk..
+ €38
+ €193.15
July 3, 2010 at 19:14 #304431Poor Mawatheeq just didn’t want to know about it today
We’ll probably never know why, just one of those things! After a battle with the people at PP I’ve got paid out on Viscount Nelson however
+ €15
+ €208.15
July 3, 2010 at 19:18 #304432Fingal Rock takes up her engagement at Bellewstown tomorrow, and I see she’s odds against!
