Yeah God was looking down on me yesterday! Couldn’t see me today though, must have forgot his contact lenses

Gave most of yesterday’s profits back, still have bumper horse to go. Up for the week though so can’t complain
June 17, 2010 at 18:59 #301574Shintoh is well fanciied in the next at Leopardstown. He has the form in the book, and has been well liked since his 2yo days. €20 win @ 15/8
+ €20.61
June 17, 2010 at 19:15 #301579This thread’s been up and down like a yoyo

I don’t have the profit that is desired, yet atleast I’m not down. It’s very early days and as I’ve learned in the past one horse can make or break your whole year
June 17, 2010 at 19:21 #301582Right, time for some serious study. Only 2 days of Royal Ascot yet and the most may be made of it!
June 17, 2010 at 20:22 #301597Radharcnafarraige looks sure to go close in the Albany. She’s improved with every run, and has more experience than most of these fillies. She’s tough and consistent, and undoubtedly the one to beat.
Salute Him is interesting in the Wolferton Handicap. He had a run in a handicap hurdle at Aintree last month that would presumably have left him spot on for this. He was competitive in handicaps in Meydan over the spring, so there’s no reason to believe he can’t be competitive here. 16/1 is generous.
The Coronation Stakes looks extremely competitive. It may pay to side with the Irish 1000 Guineas form. Given the unpredictable way the Ballydoyle horses are running, the two to concentrate on are Anna Salai and Music Show.
June 17, 2010 at 20:27 #301598Two year’s ago in a stable tour by Edward O’Grady, he said he had the Cheltenham Bumper winner in his yard. This was said half toungue-in-cheek, but seemingly he had a horse with real potential. All that was said was that he was a Definite Article horse…
For a while I thought this animal could be Rare Commodity, who contested some decent bumpers in the 2008-09 eason, but he was nothing special. A particularly average animal. Not all these horses who burn the gallops turn out that good, do they?
On 28/5 this year Edward O’Grady had a very impressive bumper winner. His sire? You guessed it. The Real Article is that horses name, and he runs in the bumper at Tipperary tomorrow. I’m as sure as eggs is eggs this is the animal that had been impressing his handler. He has to give over a stone to a Charlie Swan inmate, which is very important for one reason: It gives us a price
Cuan Na Grai is a NR, so the double I was planning is down the swanie. €20 win @ 8/11 Rare Article.
When my brain does something marvellous like this I wish I could get more benefit out of it!

+ €34.55
+ €55.16
June 18, 2010 at 10:32 #301698Radharnafarraige €5 e/w @ 9/2
Music Show €5 e/w @ 11/2
Salute Him €5 e/w @ 14/1+ €25.16
June 18, 2010 at 15:52 #301766Mark Johnston has a terrific record in this race, and I’m not convinced by Mikhael Glinka. Corsica was supposedly Johnston’s best chance of the day. He’s already had a winner so that’s a tip innitself. €10 e/w @ 11/4. I was incredibly unlucky today as every selection came home in 4th, beaten by tiny margins

+ €5.16

Hows the coup developing on Laddies, some 7/1 I see… I might have been optimistic about it going to 6 may be less… boys mean business… watch Murtagh snatch the riding honours…Imposing for the owners double looks on
June 18, 2010 at 20:23 #301807Bookies 2..Me 2
The game is reaching its climax. Could be time to bring Laddies Poker Two on to partner Fleeting Spirit up front. With Harbinger in the sausage roll surely we’ll create chances?!
June 18, 2010 at 21:09 #301818€20 win @ 1/1 Harbinger, €5 e/w double Fleeting Spirit and Laddies Poker Two @ 8/1 & 7/1.
– €24.84
June 18, 2010 at 21:24 #301822The bet of the meeting is available with Paddy Power: Fleeting Spirit to place 7/4 (4 places)

€20 place @ 7/4
– €44.84
June 19, 2010 at 10:43 #301931Laddies 6’s… 5’s…!! from 40, well 25 when main boards opened.. incredible gamble. I have had to wait all of Ascot for first real bet, hope next year its on the first day
I have Showcasing with that now in a double too, sorry but 7/1 is a good price for this; he came from 2nd last a little over a furlong to nearly catch the Hills horse LTO. Hopelessly placed. Today cos he is on the rail will be closer.
Covering doubles; Showcasing/Gallagher (my second choice) and Showcasing/Marching (pace on that side, my roughie anyway)
June 19, 2010 at 11:31 #301951Decided not to back Laddies yesterday to see what price he’d open today. At hay all morning so I’ve now took 11/2
. Still, nothing wrong with that if she wins
€5 e/w @ 11/2
– €54.84

An 11/2 winner is still a winner I guess.Congrats PHD, fantastic win! I had a seriously good day, when Harbinger hit the back of the net I knew it would be a good day

€20 win on him only returned €37 as a result of the Rule 4.
My €10 e/w on Fleeting Spirit @ 9/1 returned €32.50.
The €20 place @ 7/4 on FS returned €55.
The €5 e/w double on Fleeting and Laddies Poker Two returned €41.25.
And last but not least, the €5 e/w on Laddies @ 11/2 returned €44.37.
Total €210.12

+ €155.28
