He’s going to France. If Pyledriver was a Galileo colt from Ballydoyle I reckon he’d be 4/6.
Funny old game.

September 10, 2020 at 21:06 #1500674He wouldn’t be going off 4/6 I can guarantee that regardless of who trained him the last 10 renewals have only seen Idaho in a shockingly bad renewal (Harbour Laws year) and Camelot go off odds on. He is still up against an Irish Derby winner at the end of the day.
September 10, 2020 at 21:30 #1500676Aye but Idaho didn’t win the Voligeur with a penalty pulling a cart.

September 10, 2020 at 21:33 #1500677Not sure Pyledriver beat much in the end there though. Plus there’s a big question mark over distance.
Santiago is relatively weak in the market today, it’s actually not a market to get very excited about to be fair
September 10, 2020 at 22:05 #1500681It was an awful voltigeur and on pedigree he’s a doubtful stayer
Galileo Chrome 7/1 for me with a saver on Santiago
September 10, 2020 at 22:15 #1500683Which figures suggest it was an “awful Voligeur”?
Nothing I’ve read?

September 11, 2020 at 02:04 #1500758I hope everybody wins
September 11, 2020 at 08:43 #1500762The horses he beat are all useless imo TTC
September 11, 2020 at 10:14 #1500767English King goes to France instead
September 11, 2020 at 10:47 #1500771That’s fine, clears the path for Santiago.
September 11, 2020 at 15:23 #1500839I think it’s a bit ignorant to label the beaten Voligeur horses “useless”.
Royal Ascot winners, Glorious Goodwood winners, Group winners.

September 11, 2020 at 15:26 #1500841Pyledriver looks a class act to me
runs enthusiastic yet still has power at the finish
The trip is a question mark but don’t see much else as a negativeGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
September 11, 2020 at 17:40 #1500881I would love to see Pyledriver win, I really would. I’ve gone for a bit of what I hope is value though with Berkshire Rocco 33-1 ew

September 12, 2020 at 02:01 #1500940Now my horse has drifted to 20/1 with BF and PP, I took that on a boost to 22/1. I actually think this is a low class St Leger and an outsider could pull it off. Subjective.
September 12, 2020 at 09:02 #1500953Mike whats low class about Santiago compared to Subjectivist? I’d be interested to know.
September 12, 2020 at 10:12 #1500958It’s about an on average Leger over the last 6 ratings wise. It definitely isn’t low class, got an impressive GV winner and an Irish Derby Queens Vase winner.
What I would say though is that no-one wants to back any of the market 3 leaders very much though so it does appear more open that I would have thought. The gamble on GC is insane, he should be a 12/1 shot on form, all this gives it an open feel to it which is maybe what you meant Mike?
