Has anyone got a strong opinion of where Samcro may run in next years Festival?

February 23, 2018 at 16:50 #1343603JLT if he were mine but no idea what connections will favour
February 23, 2018 at 16:50 #1343605Surely between JLT and RSA though
February 23, 2018 at 17:02 #1343607RSA I’d assume
February 23, 2018 at 17:28 #1343608Probably both

February 24, 2018 at 10:10 #1343715I’ll guess JLT.

February 24, 2018 at 21:34 #1343872Purely hypothetically, at what odds would you chalk up Samcro for the Ascot Gold Cup?

February 25, 2018 at 12:03 #1343936Don Cossack stayed at 2 and a half miles for the JLT from memory and this fella looks to have enough pace for 2 miles so my guess is JLT then up in trip after.
February 25, 2018 at 12:07 #1343937Agree with Mike, they’ll likely go with what worked for Don Cossack, so JLT next year.
February 25, 2018 at 13:52 #1343953Given that connections have made no bones about the fact they think this boy is the 2020 Gold Cup winner I’d be pretty sure that so long as his jumping is up to scratch early next season that he’ll end up in the RSA.
February 25, 2018 at 15:29 #1343966The way he settled his last race over 2 miles (that was in a matter of 3-4 strides), I wouldn’t be surprised if Mr. O’Leary might want to win the Champion Hurdle with him.
What would he have to beat next year? And you never know what might happen, if he doesn’t take to fences at all.
