Find it very odd how everyone is writing this horse off as absolutely nothing now and every novice from last season is rotten
Just a load of nonsense, writing him
Off completely when hes put in one shocker, he was beaten fair and square at newcastle by a horse whos just simply quickerHe is still totally unexposed over fence and hurdles at 2m4+, looked to me like he simply isnt a 2miler… nothing more
Saying he has no battle and saying hes useless is the biggest load of nonsense ive ever read on here

And this is coming from the person who argued he was over hyped last season
Hes far from useless.
December 30, 2018 at 19:04 #1390853Sorry jack I didn’t realise you had shares in Samcro or perhaps you’ve bet him every run this season? Which one? Can’t quite let go of the hype or do you seriously believe last seasons Novices were a good bunch? If so where’s the evidence last seasons Novices were a good crop because I can hardly find any evidence. Samcro was the best of a poor bunch last year and now they’ve all met other horses they have proved it.
And in terms of last season I’m pretty sure most of my predictions were spot on and I’m quite happy to celebrate afterwards.
Am definitely a fan of Henderson And if I’m picking the Henderson horses than win and not just blindly following them I’m pretty sure that’s the game. And we can speak about santini after Cheltenham.
What’s your bet of this season festival just out of interest? I’ll make sure I lump onDecember 30, 2018 at 19:05 #1390854In context to his hype and reputation (The invincible superstar samcro does not exist) he is useless. Calling him useless now is simply the reverse of what they were calling him last year. Neither are strictly accurate.
Sure he isnt actually useless and is better than many horses out there it’s all about context.

Read my post again, he was a horse that never drew me in. I don’t punt the sort of prices he’s went off either.
Also, i’ve commented on this forum already in the last 48 hours questioning novice hurdle form- so cheers for highlighting it to me.
We can speak about Santini if you wish, i’ve said nothing about him.
No bets at the festival yet, the pictures very murky given this seasons ground and Cheltenham’s ground last year.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!December 30, 2018 at 19:22 #1390858Ok jack no worries. Interested in your thoughts nearer the time. Yep we can agree last seasons Novices were poor. The good thing is we can get better odds for horses we back against them hey
December 30, 2018 at 19:27 #1390860One thing about this year’s novices is i think Henderson has what looks an incredible amount of good ones again.
Elliot + Mullins probably not go their’s out as much yet, but Henderson the early upper hand!

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 4, 2019 at 13:08 #1391285It’s all good and well saying he’s not the next big thing after three below expectation runs – we can all do that. As has been pointed out, look at how he travelled in that Ryanair Hurdle – He’s not slow.
Same with how he changed gear in the Deloitte last year. Regardless of the form, which you can definitely highlight as being poor, he’s a shadow of the horse he was.One arguement, which only MOL has had the balls to shout up on, is that he’s a bridle job. Very possible when you look at how he started to wilt slightly up the hill at the Fez for example. But again as MOL says, he’d have had Tombstone falling out the TV last season, so that makes you think he’s got a hairline fracture or can’t breathe.
Chasing and a trip won’t solve these? issues, he cut out like a light on his last run and those two changes don’t solve that. Time might be what he needs, it’s worth a try for an owner who has all the time and hundreds of other horses to enjoy instead.
January 9, 2019 at 17:25 #1391935Has been found to be suffering from a lung infection
it does give out too many details but would explain the last run at the very least and the whole season at most.
looks likely to be missing Cheltenham altogether
hopefully he recovers well and we see him sparkle sometime soonGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
January 9, 2019 at 18:40 #1391953Similar profile to Don Cossack, who was highly touted after his bumper career, but took time before becoming the top staying chaser of his generation. So wouldn’t lose hope yet
