With Lossie out, I’ve put a bit on Kargese at 16s ew even though there are only 2 places available. Comes here in form and should be able to tuck in behind the boys. Hopefully have Danny on board.
April 29, 2025 at 21:58 #1728721Agree G, and though I don’t usually bet at these odds, I think he’s too big. Took 9-2, and I’ll def go in again if he drifts more
April 29, 2025 at 23:40 #1728732I think this race is not about having the best chaser in it, but more about who’ll bring the necessary form to win it. If Monty’s Star (8/1 WIN only) can repeat last year’s performance at this venue, I think he’ll go very close.
Banbridge has yet to convince me as a true 3m chaser and I have yet to figure out Spillane’s Tower.Green, well done today. Two nice winners you’ve had.
April 30, 2025 at 06:58 #1728742I like LIGHTKEEPER in the 605. Hat trick bid, ground and trip to suit, runner up last time won a mares listed chase subsequently.
8 2 1April 30, 2025 at 12:05 #1728756Today’s bets mostly ew as usual
Smooth Scotch
Coral River
Kaid d’authie (win only) + Centreofattention
Cardcounter + Argento Boy
Colcannon (wo)
Monty’s Star (wo)
Adamantly Chosen + Grange Walk
Future Prospect (wo)50p ew on that lot but a bit more on Kaid d’Authie- Cheltenham was a horror show but he’s much better than that. Better next year also..he’s a gangly beast all over the place at this age and stage. Centreofattention finally makes an appearance, probably collecting runs for a mark but I have a close eye on him.
Bit more on Cardcounter also, think he could be good.April 30, 2025 at 12:19 #1728757Added

April 30, 2025 at 15:16 #1728777De Bromheads Fairyhouse form continuing here. I’ve never seen a trainer who blows as hot and cold as him throughout a season. It’s either a famine or a feast.
April 30, 2025 at 15:24 #1728778Well done in the first VtC, another great price and a good win for GB
April 30, 2025 at 15:27 #1728779Kaid d’Authie for me in the next. 4/1
April 30, 2025 at 16:08 #1728781Didn’t think I had a prayer at the half way point be he stuck on well to be fair. Big lump had no regard for his hurdles at all.
April 30, 2025 at 16:10 #1728782At the finish of the first race Jerry Hannon told the world it was a ‘the third English winner’. Try as I might I could only find two winners from England…, and one from Scotland. Still I suppose it’s all ‘other side of the Irish Sea’…
April 30, 2025 at 16:11 #1728783I do love to see David Pipe winning things! Amazing how well some of the UK horses are doing at Punchestown.
