Looking at my weather channels I think the going will be soft and even though Stradivarius doesn’t have a jockey right now, they will find one, but as I have said earlier even over 12f with soft ground his stamina will come into play at the end of the race. The last time a 16f horse run in the Arc on soft he was only beaten a head and this moment in time I do not remember the horses name but will give it tomorrow. £20 16/1 EW may pay off. I can’t back love or Enable, and love still hasn’t come against true group 1 horses. I would love to see Enable win but at 15/8 that is too short.

September 27, 2020 at 01:21 #1503627Order of st George ran well in the arc and stradivarius is far better than him
And this renewal seems to lack depth
Id imagine the owners would be very happy with a placed effort in an arc on his stallion CV
Plenty of rain in the forecast for Paris this week according to the BBC site
Can see Enable going off Fav
September 27, 2020 at 05:04 #1503628THE ground seems to be going against love and mogul and vpuld well be favourite. I think a front running serpentine is my best idea. Sovereign to make the running and serpentine to go clear four furlongs out and catch me if you can. If the ground was good love would take all the beating but if it’s soft a different story. Has the feel of a Tony bin type of shock.
September 27, 2020 at 10:18 #1503632Ive had a saver on Enable in case the ground indeed goes soft.
September 27, 2020 at 10:50 #1503633Oh please don’t remind me of Tony Bin Mickey so painful.
I absolutely adored Mtoto..it should have been his.

Persian King could pull this off @ 33/1 surely he gets at least a place.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 27, 2020 at 11:47 #1503642Is Persian King going to stay 12f?
September 27, 2020 at 12:53 #1503644Quite unlikely imo looking at his prix du jockey club run over 10f
Had a few quid on enable at 3.55 on the exchange earlier
September 27, 2020 at 13:03 #1503647If she is declared I will back tarnawa e/w
She has been very impressive her last 2 runs
September 27, 2020 at 13:28 #1503649Not sure a 12f fastly run Arc, on possible soft ground, will be Tarnawa’s bag. The 10f races would give her a better chance of a next time out win I think but there is only one Arc so will see if they give it a go.
September 27, 2020 at 14:07 #1503653Her best performances have come the last twice over 12f and she will be held up so if they get hard she could easily be running on past beaten horses into a place
If it were to get bottomless I’d look elsewhere tbf but you don’t get bombproof 16/1+ shots
September 27, 2020 at 15:09 #1503660‘Is Persian King going to stay 12f?’
Well his Dam sire Dylan Thomas won it in 2007 so I don’t see why not Mike.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 27, 2020 at 15:42 #1503662I think that Persian King will stay ok, it’s just a question of whether or not he’s good enough.
September 27, 2020 at 16:00 #1503668It’s a chance worth taking though Kris especially when he seems to be in such good form this season only being out of the frame once in heavy conditions.
If Persian King were to win the Arc nobody would be surprised as he has all the credentials to do it.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 27, 2020 at 17:58 #1503684RAABIAH 14/1 my bet not fully fit for Vermille the french see these races as trails and think she can bounce back to form
September 27, 2020 at 20:53 #1503698Looking on the French weather service they are predicting over 100mm of rain this week in the Paris area. The going is going to be very soft if they are right. I hope not cause it will ruin the meeting, but if that is the case I am happy with my small bet on Strad. Stamina will come into play. Something I have learned the No.1 thing to take into account is going.
September 27, 2020 at 22:41 #1503706If the ground was good or good to soft, I think Love would be a certainty. But that weather forecast has made me very worried.
If it is right we are looking at heavy ground. That has to be against Love and Enable as well. If Enable could not win last year on very soft ground, how can she win this year when she has not shown the same level of form?
I wonder if it may be worth taking a chance on In Swoop, the German Derby winner. He goes on soft ground and he ran well behind Mogul last time over course and distance, staying on well. A slog might suit him.
