Well done with Bristol and Dillon
November 21, 2020 at 15:33 #1511607CoF didn’t jump well but pleased with JJ. Perhaps he can win a handicap over a bit further.

11/10 1ptNovember 23, 2020 at 00:25 #1511949I used to enjoy your comical descriptions of Brahma Bull, and I know he’s a horse you’ve mentioned a lot. What did you think of him today?
Ps well done with the bet today
November 23, 2020 at 12:01 #1511970Much better jumping anyhow and think David Mullins good on the headbins.
12.05 Muss Return Ticket 2-1 1pt win
Hope wind op does the job.
November 23, 2020 at 12:22 #1511973Good. Jumped well today too.
Getareason is a neat little horse who might suit today’s track.
2.35 Kempton Getareason 7-2 1pt win
November 24, 2020 at 14:17 #1512070Hostage to fortune with his run style and couldn’t get there. I’ll look out for him somewhere with small fences and a small field, or back over hurdles.
Pants I forgot Colreevy was running today.
Will have a go on Blue Lord who got a positive mention on the stable website even though he’s on the drift.2.30 Punch Blue Lord 7-2 1pt win
November 24, 2020 at 15:04 #1512073Jolly good.
Hamunderson over further and the nicely bred Glens of Antrim(full sister to Minella Melody and out of a full sister to Glens Melody) also over further and probably next year (fences?) perhaps
November 26, 2020 at 09:51 #1512175Mullins horses all interesting today but short so a 50p treble will do. Gauloise won the French bumper in which Gamin Original was the runner up. The latter horse ran in the good juvenile hurdle won by Burning Victory, bombing out last of the finishers but he was the pick of Paul Towend that day, making Gauloise interesting. Was she kept back to preserve her novice status for this year?
Hook Up and Gjoumi finished 3rd and 4th in that race won by Burning Victory. The second, Great Bear, hasn’t exactly set the world alight since but straight after the race Mullins said (after a bit of speculation about whether BV and HU would take up their Triumph entries- he was dubious as hard on mares having their 2nd run he thought- as it turns out BV coped and HU didn’t) “The four of them are horses that I think will be graded horses in the future.” OK he didn’t say Grade One horses. But still. Interesting.
Having just watched that race back, Gjoumi did pretty well considered she was held up in a steadily run race, looked pretty green at times, managed to forge her way forward on the rail then got trapped and had to switch out and ran on for 4th on strength sapping ground; she’s not huge. Hook Up’s big move forward in the same was eye catching too. Perhaps I will forgive her Triumph run, considering the trainer’s comments about second starts. Burning Victory had plenty of Flat experience which Hook Up did not. I don’t really care for juvenile hurdlers but starting to see why Bachelor’s Hall finds the division so interesting. Maybe I’ll have to back all 3 of Gjoumi, Hook Up and Gauloise for the mares novice hurdle!
Franco de Port, Gjoumi and Gauloise 4.73-1 win treble 0.5pt
November 26, 2020 at 11:04 #1512176I was very taken by his comments on Burning Victory! Saying he fully expects her to be a grade 1 mare this season. Gauloise is an interesting one- i read that they bought Gamin, and then afterwards went back for Gauloise, so Gamin must have impressed, and Townend did choose her for that race BV won so it’s interesting alright.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!November 26, 2020 at 13:15 #1512180Gjoumi has drifted a bit. Ho hum.
1.25 Thur Gjoumi evs 1pt win
November 27, 2020 at 10:19 #1512255Well two out of three ain’t bad as the bard Meatloaf once sang. Gjoumi too keen and hurdled badly. Glad to see her get up after that fall, a nasty experience for her. Gauloise looks a lovely mare. The 3rd in her race, Mar Dhea, caught my eye down at the start. I’ll keep a look out for her, don’t think her 3rd place was a fluke despite her price.
I was very taken with Anemoi last time and think a big galloping track will suit. Lovely looking big horse.

On to tomorrow. Always liked Impact Factor who kept good company in the past. Minella Melody had a blip a Cheltenham but fit now after a run. Queensbrook up in trip is a danger- a gorgeous mare who looks a chasing type, could easily see her doing a Shattered Love in the JLT next season. Hoping Hook Up keeps out of trouble and starts fulfilling her potential especially for the sake of my Cheltenham bet.
Across the ditch Marie’s Rock is in my TTF so backed her despite decent sorts in opposition. If the ground dries out I wouldn’t be surprised if she gets pulled out though, with history of knee surgery. Pym jumps well and likes good ground so happy to side with him.
