I’m back… with more enthusiasm than sense and plenty of waffle as usual.
Hoping the break has done for Mr Lupton what it did for Brian the Snail
Miss Yoda ran well last year despite being slowly away the first two runs and also fighting her jockey like a wee demon in the Zetland Stakes. Perhaps a winter’s worth of maturity will give her the wisdom of her namesake.
Love the gorgeous Sangarius, really keen to see him bloom under the careful Stoute cultivation this year 🤞

Agree on Sangarius, should have a big season. No bets for me today, but I’d be with him definitely, and I’d have considered Mr Lupton too.
June 5, 2020 at 15:21 #1489711Thanks VtC
Kind of glad Sangarius not risking his legs on the quick ground today.Desert Encounter Nmkt 3.35 50s 0.5 pt ew

Looks lovely and relaxed
June 6, 2020 at 22:25 #1489997Miss Yoda did everything wrong but still got me in profit! Anthony van Dyck ran a good race but the winner was just great and everything suited.
Transferred my returned NR stake to tomorrow…Teddy Grimthorpe says he may be rusty but if he is good enough he should win anyway.
Sangarius Brigadier Gerard Stakes 5-2 5 pts win

Pts staked 14June 6, 2020 at 22:34 #1489999Miss Yoda impressed me.
Uneasy in the stalls.
Didnt break the best.
Havlin gave her a great ride to get there when He did.I would say the bet would be a 3 place bet on her next time out at a nice price.
Accompanied by a smaller stake on the win.Now your talking

June 6, 2020 at 23:32 #1490009Do you think she’ll calm down and improve with racing or get more wound up and fry her brain though? Mind you a stronger pace might help next time as she was nearly running over the top of the horse in front at times.
June 6, 2020 at 23:52 #1490011Yes she is quirky !
Arent most women ? lol
She is certainly talented from her display.
When she broke slow I said someone on Betfair must be giving 6s up 10s. I thought the even bet was gone. Thats why I was so impressed how Havlin didnt panic and let her back in to the race in her own time.
If Havlin is riding her the next day, he should give the stall handlers a fifty each to load her last.
At home they have to treat her like royalty.
Fillies are very smart. When they know they are good they will behave and give everything they have on the big day.She showed she has class. PP going 20s on her in the oaks.
If she runs she has every chance to be in the first 3.

Went for a day out I think.
Was willing Elarqam to get back up in the end!Run Wild 3.00 Nmkt 6-1 1pt ew
Ran some good races in defeat last year and got the scope to progress this year
June 7, 2020 at 15:12 #1490088Think Richard Hoiles was being harsh there…she is a good filly (Gosden got them coming out his ears)
June 7, 2020 at 15:23 #1490089Good racing in France today including the race that all the Grand Steep horses except Ebonite are running in…I’m having a go on her stablemate

Strongly built chap who only had 3 starts last year. By a miler, looks like a sprinter (looks like a quarter horse in fact) and is a potential for the Kings Stand per stable tour. Some decent sorts at the top of the betting but I thought the 4 places on offer was quite good.
June 8, 2020 at 00:29 #1490142Joining you with this one.
June 8, 2020 at 17:52 #1490189Ho hum, withdrawn.
(Why, does anyone know? Ground?)
Hope they’re throwing plenty of water on Leopardstown, not much point in hammering the legs off horses on a trials day. (Pocket talking…my chap is a big horse)Russian Emperor 2.00 Leop 6-4 5pts win
