March 21, 2016 at 06:48 #1239188morning nathan,he has done most of us on here a favour this carnival.I really am scratching my head on this at the moment,i really like him (fityaan boosted the form last time out)but he has yet to win above listed level.
He looks a Group One sprinter in the making, but for some reason something is telling me he may fall short, dont ask me what that is,its one of those moments i have(probably my age.lol)
I wouldn’t put anyone off and i will probably end up kicking myself come saturday evening.Good luck mate i’ll be cheering him on for you

Ertijaal drawn 6 sandwiched between last years first and second Sole Power (7) Penaiphobia (5)
March 23, 2016 at 09:50 #1239472He’ll give Sole Power something to aim at.
The thing I like about Ertijaal is he seems to travel at a very high cruising speed but be able to kick again at the finish, Sole Power will need to be at his best to reel him in but at least he will get his ground. Looking forward to it.
I was expecting Ertijaal to be around the 2/1 mark so I’m happy with 3’s and 7/2.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
March 23, 2016 at 09:58 #1239474good luck mate,i kept watching his meydan video’s last night(yep i know sad g1t) and he looks more impressive each time i view it
March 23, 2016 at 13:10 #1239503I have had a go at Highland Reel in the Sheema Classic.
The son of Galileo was my first ante post bet for the Derby back in his two year old days but things didn’t pan out at three as Aidan O’Brien’s leading lights all fell by the wayside, leaving two cuddies, Hans Holbein and Kilimanjaro, to go to war at Epsom with alleged wonder horse Giovanni Canaletto, completing what wasn’t as much a “B Team” and more of a “D Team” for the yard.
Highland Reel got his act together a bit during the latter stages of the season and he took a decent international raider Flintshire’s scalp in landing the Hong Kong Vase. It is interesting that he has been kept in training at 4 and I assume they feel there is unfinished business with Highland Reel.
There isn’t a lot between Highland Reel and Postponed on ratings but the favourite has the advantage of a race under his belt and has won at the track. I just feel Highland Reel may have more to come.
Duramente is right there with the other two on ratings but I find his form hard to assess with confidence and he dropped from 12f to 9f last time and is now going back up to 12f. I’ll pass at the odds.
Highland Reel at 4/1 is my call and I have had a couple of quid on him for the Princess Of Wales Stakes at Royal Ascot at 14/1. Jack Hobbs and Found dominate the betting there but Gosden’s colt disappointed me on his last start and doesn’t have much in hand on the book. Found took time to get going last year and 4yo fillies can be risky propositions in my experience.
I just have the feeling that if Highland Reel wins on Saturday, he would be a more than able deputy, or second bullet, in the O’Brien attack on the Princess Of Wales Stakes and 14/1 is a nice price.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
March 23, 2016 at 13:52 #1239507good luck steve, regarding jack hobbs, imo he us a 12f horse.I was against him in the Champion but (again) i couldn’t find the winner
March 23, 2016 at 13:56 #1239509Duramente to win for me. He has the instant kick that Postponed and Highland Reel lack, plus he’s always looked a champion in the making compared to the other two who’ve only really risen up late on last season. Biggest danger for him would be to get into a fight with Postponed, who we know loves a battle. But, in my mind, they should be around the same odds, so I’m happy to take the 7/2 on Duramente all day. Might potentially also have a small (crazy) e/w on the Qatari runner.
March 24, 2016 at 11:14 #1239621I have had a couple of quid each-way on Peniaphobia in the sprint.
The gelding was with Richard Fahey originally but he has developed into a useful sprinter now and was second in this race last year. He won the Hong Kong Sprint in December and met with interference when 3rd at the same track in January. He’s consistent and seems quite a game horse.
All things considered it seemed better value Peniaphobia at 7/1 than Ertijaal at 3/1, given that there is little in it on the ratings and the ex Haggas horse has yet to land a top notch race.
Peniaphobia is a term for a fear of poverty and/or poor people. Hopefully this Peniaphobia can keep the wolf from the door by going one better than last year behind the veteran Sole Power.
Peniaphobia 7/1 each-way
ps Words fail me with ATR sometimes, their card for the race shows Peniaphobia rated 101. That figure is wildly out of date and is giving readers a bum steer, with the actual rating being 119

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
March 26, 2016 at 10:53 #1239854only the two plays for me today
Postponed and Muthmir each way,i know Ertijaal will come and bite me on the backside.
To fairly good judges i know, rang me last night banging on about Basateen at a big price(i have not got involved)The french fav(Vazirabad) in the Dubai Gold Cup,looked very useful winning Prix Royal-Oak and could well have been a bet,but i am a tad worried how quick this going will get
Good luck today and then we roll onto Town Moor lext week
March 26, 2016 at 11:18 #1239862Muthmir is very interesting, the owner has Ertijaal and Muthmir could have quite easily ran and won yesterday at Lingfield for the all weather champions day after a decent pipe opening there the other week. Running here they must be very happy with him.
Frosted looks the pick of the main two in the main event with CC drawn poorly.
Polar River looks the banker if there is such a thing.
good luck.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 26, 2016 at 16:05 #1239912I fancy that TELETEXT could grab a place in the Dubai World Cup.
I think he’s better than his price suggests. I’ve taken the 66/1
with Sky. - AuthorPosts
