didn’t know which section to put this, but i landed here.lol
No bets for me today but a few to keep an eye on,any other members thoughts for the meydan season,as well as today will be great.
4.10 Ertijaal try’s the minimum trip for the first time and could well interest some, but odds of around 5s is of no interest to me(that’s not to say he cant we win)Banaadeer came with a decent rep last season, but did nothing to enhance that with three okish runs.Robert Cowell has got to decent enough chances, but if push came to shove i would probably throw a few shillings each way on Fityaan.
The 445 Le Bernardin (likely fav) was very impressive last time out on the dirt and is hard to get away from.A couple of firms are going 1/4 odds and if we could get 4s he may well look a decent bet to nothing. An old friend of mine Start Empire goes in the next and although could run well and into a place,i cant bring myself to back him again with ‘real’ pennies(although could not put anyone off)God knows why i call him an old friend the money he has cost me.
6.30 is the last race to look at(for me) interested to see B Fifty Two trying the seven again(after winning last backend over this trip) Bossy Guest for me has questions to answer, but a strong pace could well bring about a return to form. The solid option is Dark Emerald, who will be top of many people’s short list. For me i will go along with the first named.Anyway as said no bet for me today, but nice to have some decent flat racing to watch(as well as for the future)
Good luck if you play and any thoughts on today will be of interest.
January 7, 2016 at 15:54 #1228674I’ve got a soft spot for Ertijaal but couldn’t back him on the fast track over the minimum distance.

January 7, 2016 at 16:22 #1228682blimey thought he’d run ok at 5,but visually that looked something else.
Well done on the place nathan
January 7, 2016 at 16:31 #1228683I’ve not been paid out yet, there was one finishing out of camera shot, so that might have nabbed my place money although no result has come up as yet.
Le Bernardin in the next for a few quid.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026

January 7, 2016 at 17:25 #1228687lol star empire my old friend
January 7, 2016 at 17:37 #1228690How did Star Empire get on, I deliberately avoided the race as I have yet to forgive him for costing me a five timer. It wasn’t the horses fault but funny how you don’t foget.

January 7, 2016 at 18:01 #1228693OMG, just checked the result, seems everybody avoided Star Empire seeing how he went off at 20/1…..
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
January 7, 2016 at 18:09 #1228697Interesting to see how Glory Awaits get on in the next. 20/1 could be a fair price given it’s 4 placings.
He’s raced in some meaty contests over the years.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
January 7, 2016 at 18:57 #1228702yep 20s nathan,lucky i haven’t got a cat
January 8, 2016 at 08:36 #1228758any real time men/h’cappers out there? After watching the sprint again,i would have Ertijaal in at about 121+ after that performance.First try at five,he could well make his presence felt in the sprinting world this season.
Still a few pound below the very best Mecca’s Angel etc)but could be of interest if they bring him back to the UK for a turf campaign(looks best on top of the ground)January 8, 2016 at 09:52 #1228763I think over the 5f because he can get alot further it might not be a disadvantage whatever the going was.

January 10, 2016 at 18:53 #1229171thanks for your thoughts nathan,i see PP have him in @ 9/2 fav for the Al Quoz sprint in march
January 11, 2016 at 11:11 #1229210Belgian Bill entered in the handicap he won last season, thursday. Not a great lover of the two guineas trials and they look even weaker this year.
