A small profit thanks to the excellent Elarqam who must have a big future. A great day with Jac as well – you couldn’t hope to meet a more warm-hearted and friendly person. So knowledgeable as well – she picked out the 40-1 runner-up in the maiden AND backed the winner. “Should have done the forecast!!” I screamed at her :)

On to tomorrow and I have a couple of bets. Wo’t go into them too much as it’s beddy-byes for me but hoping La Figlia can justify her trainers high reputation, that To Eternity and Mori can bounce back after disappointing efforts last time and that Sir John Lavery is a bit too good for his exposed rivals.

    £25ew La Figlia – 11-1 – 1.50 Newmarket lost
    £25ew To Eternity – 8-1 – 2.25 Newmarket placed
    £50 win Mori – 3-1 – 2.25 Newmarket lost
£50 win Sir John Lavery – 3.35 Newmarket lost

Well done with that late punt on Elarqam Joni :good: Just being there at the pre-parade ring you could see he was fit and ready to go out and win his race, if only they were all that easy.

Had a great day meeting up and all my friends loved meeting you too, all my wins came from the two year old races that I had studied into the early hours on Wednesday and yes I should have done the Forecast  it paid £117.20 Tom Dascombe’s Proschema definitely goes into the notebook but sadly won’t be that price next time he runs.

Good luck tomorrow Joni, I’m going to give them a good looking at in the morning as really need some zzzz’s now..thanks for your company today..Jac x

Not so much luck today Joni, the Frankel’s have been a bit disappointing this week with the exception of Elarqam. I’m even having doubts over Nelson tonight as I think that Roaring Lion is a very talented horse who we haven’t seen the best of yet and looking at his timings over a mile they are very very good.
Will be doing a win on Roaring Lion 7/2 and a reverse forecast with Nelson.
Good luck with your bets on Cambridgeshire day will cheer them home for you.

Yes a couple were disappointing Jac but I thought Elwazir showed a lot of promise and La Figlia ran very well on only her 2nd start. I wouldn’t worry about Nelson today – he’ll be far too good for these. A busy day watching the kids play football so will just post my bets. Will be following you in on Thundering Blue though!!

    £75 win Call To Mind – 10-3 – 12.30 Chantilly lost
    £50 win Threading – 3-1 – 2.25 Newmarket lost
    £25ew Betty F – 18-1 – 2.25 Newmarket lost
    £25ew El Hayem – 18-1 – 3.35 Newmarket lost
    £50ew Thundering Blue – 7-1 – 3.35 Newmarket lost
    £25ew Salouen – 7-1 – 3.25 Chantilly placed
    £2ew Trebles and Fourfolds

A disappointing day yesterday with a couple of near misses. Hoping for a change of luck today. I have two bets at Epsom. I know they think the world of The Revenant at Hugo Palmer’s yard and he will relish todays conditions. Swiss Storm was thought of as a classic horse earlier in the season so should be up to winning off a decent mark if he handles the ground. Over at Chantilly I am a massive fan of Masar and think he will take all the beating. Enable is my favourite horse of the year and I can’t let her go unbacked now that she is odds against. I think she is one of the best fillies of modern times and, as long as she is at her best, she will win. Capri is good value to be placed with conditions in his favour.

    £100 win The Revenant – 2-1 – Epsom 2.40 lost
    £100 win Swiss Storm – 10-3 – Epsom 3.45 lost
    £100 win Masar – 7-2 – Chantilly 1.45 lost
    £250 win Enable – 5-4 – Chantilly Arc winner
    £25ew Capri – 20-1 – Chantilly Arc lost
    £2 win Lucky 15

She was incredible. The best middle-distance filly I’ve seen.

    +£2,299.86

Enable saves the day!! What a filly she is and she stays in training next year as well! Gutted not to have a little bit on Lady Frankel who has run a blinder in the Prix De L’Opera.

I’m off for a week of work abroad tomorrow but will post a bet now for Saturday. I really liked the way Aljazzi won last time out and I think she could win her first Group 1.

    £50ew Aljazzi – 7-1 – Sun Chariot – Newmarket lost

Good luck Joni with Aljazzi, I’ve backed Nathra every time she’s run so can’t not back her tomorrow.

Look out for SILVER QUARTZ running tomorrow at Newmarket in the 3.15 he’s another grey Frankel and Hugo Palmer thinks a lot of him. I’ve written him up on your Frankel Thread.

In the 1.30 Newmarket another Frankel two year old latecomer HAZARFAN runs and the money seems to be coming for him so I’m doing a small double.

Enjoy your trip and hope you get to see some racing..Jac X :rose:

I hope you have a lovely day Jac – I’ll be cheering on those Frankel’s of course!!

A couple of bets today. In the Autumn Stakes I have to back the favourite, Ghaiyyath. I saw him last time at Newmarket and was very impressed with how he travelled and handled the dip. He must take a lot of beating. I think Zabriskie will go well but I am not sure he will be quite quick enough.

I expect Expert Eye to win the Dewhurst but he is obviously too short to back. Haven’t got a clue about the Caesarawitch – I can’t even spell it. I would love to se Queen Kindly win the sprint but I am not sure she really handles the Rowley Mile. She run poorly twice. So preference is for Eartha Kitt who rarely runs a bad race and should have won last time. Her form with the favourite on a line through Kassia is very good and she is still lightly raced. Everything has to fall right for her but I think she will go close.

In the last I am all over Monarch’s Glen. He will love the galloping track and will find this shorter trip to his liking as he is still a bit keen despite losing his knackers.

    £100 win Ghaiyyath – 5-2 – Newmarket 2.25 winner
    £25ew Earth Kitt – 7-1 – Newmarket 4.50 winner
    £50ew Monarch’s Glen – 5-1 – Newmarket 5.25 winner
    £10ew treble
    £10 win doubles

There’s a horse in training called Notabadaulday. A good descriptor for your bets today. :yahoo:
