Thanks Buckers!! Very nice of you to say. They’ll be a few bets this weekend but an early one is Eqtidaar who I hear is very good.

    £150 win Eqtidaar – 7-4 – Kempton 4.25 lost

    Good luck today Joni…
Looking forward to seeing Frankie ride Eminent handy from the front all the way home.
Will be looking out for Cracksmsn tomorrow and having a little on Soliloquy today at Ascot following her latest run against Vitamin at Newmarket, both fillies looked the finished article in the pre parade last time out..Jac :good:

Thanks Jac! Fingers crossed for Eminent of course and I’ll cheer in Soliloquy for you. Hope you are having a lovely holiday!!

Today I have several bets on what looks one of the best racing days of the year. Obviously I’ll be cheering on all the Frankel’s but I have only backed Eminent. If Frankie gets the fractions right he should be hard to peg back.

Elsewhere I was impressed with Midterm last time and hope he can now go on to much better things. I’m intrigued to see Benbatl back over a mile and he will be suited by these conditions. Over in Ireland I really liked the way Riyazan won first time out and I think he may be quite special. I think Utah looks unexposed at the trip and is nicely handicapped. Qemah is a big price for a very talented filly who surely won’t be ridden as badly as last time.

Apparently they have had lots of rain at Chantilly with the ground now very soft. This might not be good news for Cracksman and it wouldn’t surprise if he is withdrawn but it is VERY good news for Bateel who is a MACHINE on soft ground – never beaten. If you’re not already on I would advise taking the 11-2.

    £100 win Midterm – 5-2 – 2.05 Kempton lost
    £50ew Benbatl – 9-2 – 3.35 Haydock lost
    £50 win Riyazan – 3-1 – 4.00 Leopardstown lost
    £25ew Utah – 9-1 – 4.35 Leopardstown lost
    £50ew Qemah – 7-1 – 5.35 Leopardstown lost
£1ew 7 folds, 6 fold with Eqtidaar and Eminent £1win 5 folds and 4 folds the same.

A disappointing betting day yesterday and typical of me to miss two big-priced Frankel winners! I am very hopeful with Bateel today as the ground is now officially soft. I have had one other bet.

    £25ew Seventh Heaven – 9-2 – Curragh 2.35 lost

Great shout on Bateel Joni – had a play after seeing how much you liked him here – didn’t watch as at home so had to watch the odds on BF exchange – but cheers! :good:

Thanks guys and glad you were on it BB. Always nice when a big one goes in. I backed Ajman Princess earlier this year at Haydock and Bateel destroyed her on soft ground. She has the perfect soft ground action – reminds me a bit of Cirrus Des Aigles. I’ll definitely buy you a Pina Colada next time I see you Nath!!!

Not much interest for me at the moment with the ground the way it is but I am confident that we will see a big run from ALjazeera tomorrow. She doesn’t mind a bit of cut and will appreciate the extra distance.

    £50ew Aljazeera – 7-1 – Doncaster 3.00 placed

Upped the stake as I hear she has been working well.

Off to Anfield with Oti for the first time this year so just a couple of little bets. I hear Red Mist is working very well and I think he will go close. I fancy about 8 horses in the Leger so I am having small each ways on a couple of bigger priced horses who could run well.

    £50 win Red Mist – 7-2 – Doncaster 3.00 lost
    £25ew Raheen House – 14-1 – Leger lost
    £25ew Count Octave – 28-1 – Leger lost

Can’t wait to see Jac at Newmarket tomorrow. I have always felt it is my spiritual home but unfortunately this looks like being my one and only trip this year. I am pleased that 3 Frankel’s will be in action and I hope they all run well. I had been hearing good things about Midi up until a few weeks ago and I reckon he will have it to do to beat the fav. I expect Ryan to give him a gentle introduction but hopefully he will go well. The exciting one is Elarqaam who is a short priced favourite for the Group 3 over 7f. He is probably a little too short for me to back but I hope he can win this on route to better things. The bet I HAVE had is the standout 9-2 that Bet365 are offering about UAE King in the listed long-distance race. He was not suited by the slow pace last time and this lovely, galloping track should bring the best out of him. He would have to go close.

    £100ew UAE King – 9-2 – 4.20 Newmarket placed

Hi Joni, I too am keen on Elarqam even though it’s a pretty hot race, I snaffled the 9/4 with skybet last night and I’m hoping for a good run.

The 2m race looks a bit like a cup race! Quality little field and I think Platitude has a chance after a pleasing run last time-Stoute still in form too which bodes well.

    Good luck on course.

Elarqam looks different class to the rest of them in the paddock.

    £100 win Elarqam – 6-4 – 3.45 Newmarket winner
