Thanks guys! Much appreciated!! I’d been hitting the post but nice to bag a hat-trick! My biggest win ever – just over 3.5 g’s!!! So impressed with Monarch’s Glen as well – could be a very decent horse next year…….

October 14, 2017 at 20:03 #1321690Fantastic, backed Monarchs Glen myself so you must have been over the moon it went in! Brilliant stuff.
October 14, 2017 at 20:44 #1321695Well done Joni. Proper ‘boy to man’ stuff from Monarch’s Glen – bet you were buzzing when he came storming past!
October 14, 2017 at 22:29 #1321705Thanks guys! Yes LS3 – made it more special that it was a Frankel. You could probably have heard me in Newmarket!!

I heard you Joni
What a great way to wind up the flat season..well done.
I backed both Ghaiyyath and Monarch’s Glen of course but did Queen Kindly in Eartha Kitt’ s race but with an each way on Fahey’s outside 40/1 2nd so well pleased. Also backed US Navy Flag. Can’t sleep tonight it’s been such an exciting weekend and you really nailed it this time Joni. great tipping. Jac X
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...October 15, 2017 at 09:22 #1321727Thanks Jac! Sounds like you had an amazing day as well!!! I thought about US Navy Flag as I have backed him on here a couple of times but I thought the fav was special at Goodwood and I still think he would have won if he hadn’t been lame. But what a trainer Aiden is hey?! I was reflecting last night that doubles and trebles are always worth doing. I think yesterday was the first time this year that one of them has come in but, in one fell swoop, it more than pays for all the losing ones. Let’s hope we can end with a bang (or a Crack ;0) next week!!

October 15, 2017 at 19:15 #1321825Always so lovely to receive the support from fellow DLAP’ers!!
I would be disappointed if Aljazeera doesn’t do the business tomorrow. She is improving all the time and could be a very nice horse next year.
£100 win Aljazeera – 7-4 – Yarmouth 3.10 winner

On a nice little roll at the moment and Aljazeera won well. She should be a group winner next year. So nice to see how several of these Frankel’s are improving with age.

October 17, 2017 at 13:41 #1321993I can’t wait for the flat season 2018 to kick off already Joni, the Frankel’s are maturing like fine wine and we will have 2,3, and 4 year olds running, won’t know which way to throw our cash..LOL

Well done with Aljazeera yesterday I was on her too
now we just want to see Cracksman come home on Saturday to round of the season perfectly.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...October 17, 2017 at 18:44 #1322023Brilliant!
Last year was only a small blip in the Joni’s Poni’s profit making machine.
When it gets to the end of season, at what point do you find it’s usually best to stop betting?
Champion’s Day?
Racing Post Trophy day?
Or would you go on to the November Handicap? Then again Joni… when in this type of form, why stop?
Value Is EverythingOctober 18, 2017 at 20:52 #1322176Thanks again guys!
Jac – yes, very excited about 2018. In fact I’m excited about the next 15 years!! How great that we will be cheering on these Frankel’s into our old ages!!!
Mark – Thanks mate. Very pleased to be back in the black this year! We are off on Friday night for 10 days so probably won’t be much more between now and the end of the season. I’ll have a good look at Ascot on Friday when we might know more about the weather. I’m a big fan of Bateel but she needs rain as, I think, does Cracksman. Might be the odd bet at Donny but the Breeders Cup will definitely be the last day. Then it’s hibernation time again :(

October 20, 2017 at 09:26 #1322390So with the rain having arrived it’s time to get those bets down.
Obviously I am all over Bateel again. Unbeaten on soft ground, the more rain from now till post time the better. She is a machine on this sort of ground and will take all the beating.
Apart from that I am afraid I am not being very imaginative. I can’t see past the brilliant Order of St George as he loves soft and his main rival doesn’t. I would have backed Stradivarius had it not rained but OOST will relish conditions and is pure class.
Harry Angel proved he can handle conditions last time out and he is in a different league to the other sprinters.
I can’t desert Ribchester having followed him pretty much all his career. He will be fine as long as it doesn’t get heavy.
And last but by no means least, the rain has come for Cracksman. I still think he should have run in the Arc but Frankie will make sure he is given every chance to prove his stamina. He will sit handy and then kick on at the top of the straight. Barney Roy will come for him but will be hampered by the ground and it will be left to Poet’s Word to throw down the final challenge. But the further he goes the better Cracksman gets and he will gallop all the way to the lone for a decisive win. That’s how it has gone in my dreams and my dreams are never wrong ;)
£200 win – Order Of St George – 11-10 – Long Distance Cup winner
£100 win Harry Angel – Evens – Sprint lost
£200 win Bateel – 3-1 – Fillies and Mares lost
£100 win Ribchester – 2-1 – QEII lost
£100 win Cracksman – 7-4 – Champion winner
£10 win 5 fold, £10 win 4 folds"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
October 20, 2017 at 11:05 #1322398Well done with this thread,an amazing profit.
If you go to back a certainty always buy a return ticket.
October 21, 2017 at 02:14 #1322556May all your dreams come true Joni..hang on I think they already have
just one more big shout on Saturday and with you all the way for Cracksman to win just as you described

Well done with such a marvellous profit this season, you’ve had those bookies reeling, enjoy your break, we’ll miss you..
