Great tipping Joni and you are on your way. Jack Hobbs a great choice for your first post on your Thread this year.

Well pleased with Thunder Snow today just a small return but just pleased to see him win. We were unlucky with Beautiful Romance beaten by a neck by the French horse..will have to look out for them when they come to Newmarket this season.
Lincoln Handicap to sort out next Saturday, the flat is back.
JacThanks Jac! I was cheering on TS for you. I was sure he wasn’t going to get there but then he did! So happy to have the flat back!!!

Absolute class singing pal.A must see for all.Well done.
March 25, 2017 at 23:59 #1294179That was brilliant Joni you were pitch perfect (well almost) and a great choice of song…
I’m donating to Red Nose Day for that I couldn’t stop smiling all through it..Reminded of when my daughter broke up with her boyfriend and sang All By Myself using a hairbrush as a mic while at a sleepover at her friends wearing Bridget Jones PJ’s…her lovely friends posted it up on You Tube.
Would love to see yourself, Gord and Nathan post up a Bee Gees tribute, perhaps after a good day at the Jolly Boys outing to Newbury up and coming…Now you’ve got the bug it’s time for some Jive Dancing..
Thanks Joni, you’re a good sport. X Jac

March 26, 2017 at 16:35 #1294225Nath if this was a singing contest Joni singing ‘Earth wind and fire’ would be 1/10 but its not its about discipline, foresight and good judgement…If Bobby VTC is the Assassin with a ruthless streak to his firepower,Joni is the Ass who shot himself in the foot at the end of Season 5…Lets just hope his singing career doesn’t jepoardise this thread.
March 26, 2017 at 17:35 #1294232Good luck with thread Joni.
March 26, 2017 at 18:56 #1294237Thanks guys – watch out for the album out soon!

Ribchester ran an absolute cracker. I am sure he lost his race in the first few furlongs where he was, for some reason, asked to lead. It was only when his stablemate came across and gave him a lead that he really settled but I think that extra furlong and the petrol he wasted early did for him. He looks huge though doesn’t he and I am sure he is in for a great season.
My thoughts too having backed Ribchester myself. He was paceemaker for his pacemaker for 3 furlongs but showed enough to suggest he’s this years Queen Anne winner to me Joni.

April 1, 2017 at 10:01 #1294849So one of my favourite days of the year – The Start of the Flat Season!!! Love it! I have 4 small bets. I think Birchwood should prove the class act in the opener. I think Crazy Horse will have a good season as he has lots of scope and is unexposed. Top Notch Tonto is an old favourite of mine and runs off a nice weight. And Sovereign Debt is fit and must have a great chance if he stays.
£25ew Birchwood (7-2) lost
£25ew Crazy Horse (7-2) lost
£25ew Top Notch Tonto (11-1) lost
£25ew Sovereign Debt (13-2) lost
£2ew Lucky 15"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
April 1, 2017 at 11:24 #1294868I too like Birchwood, a group horse in a listed race. Leaving the Lincoln alone as it’s a real minefield…what are your views on Immortalised the Frankel colt? Not with a trainer renowned for FTO winners but is a big price…
April 1, 2017 at 23:58 #1294997I was also on 3 of your horses today Joni favs of mine too.
Sovereign Debt was so unlucky today he was flying at the finish, he will win a nice race soon.
Birchwood looked in need of the race he was carrying some weight around his middle but the money was already on…and also dear old Top Notch Tonto, who I would pay good money just to stand and gaze at him all day long didn’t make as much impression in the race.
Looks like Hannon and Stoute have their horses fit and Gosdens are in need of a run.
Ryan Moore put on a great riding display today and nearly bankrupted the bookies
So much to look forward to and early days yet..the whole of the flat season before us..fantastic. Jac
You might have guessed I backed a certain Kool Kompany today
last backed him when he won The Craven in 2015 I just love him to bits.
This year it could well be Frankel’s Eminent taking that honour on his way to the Guineas..just over 2 weeks to go
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 6, 2017 at 18:10 #1295617£50 win Extra Mile – 9-4 6.15 Chelmsford lost

April 7, 2017 at 17:37 #1295798Sorry to not reply Jac – was a mentally busy week! Yes Sovereign Debt was desperately unlucky but one to look out for now upped in trip. Just the one bet for tomorrow. I was really taken by Orderofthegarter at Naas and think he could be decent. He has the advantage of race fitness over his stablemate and should win.
£250 win Orderofthegarter – 9-4 – 2.20 Leopardstown winner

April 7, 2017 at 23:10 #1295873Thanks Joni and no worries, I know how busy you are.:rose:
Will be cheering on Orderofthegarter for you tomorrow for your biggest win bet of the season so far
