Tuesday 24th: Beverley 15.55pm. Marching Mac is the tissue favourite and looks capable although he was a surprise 33/1 winner on latest outing for the Racefield Racing Club.

RESULT Marching Mac NON RUNNER. strange really because the going was good (6.8) and the times confirmed this going.Unsuitable going given as the reason for the withdrawal.

    Wed 25th Sept Redcar 16.32pm.
Weather should be more predictable today at Redcar as opposed to the rain forecast on the already heavy going at Goodwood. In our Redcar race not much handicap movements No Surrender slipping back when spanning the last year. Anjo Bonita has Trainer change. Unplugged as good claimer on board and there has been support for this one overnight. Nothing here jumps out for a bet.

    THURSDAY 26th Sept
    New 17.05 Cl4 H’cap Good/Soft (6.2)
TERRIES ROYALE looks the form choice with a good % and the booking of Tom Marquand.

Newm 17.05: Due to 3 non runners and a market move for Terries Royale the rating for this one is very positive (the 9/2 advised last night looks value).

    Handicap Hike
Who can blame the handicapper (Ryan Skelton) for hiking the 4yr old grey filly, STAR OF LADY M 15lbs for her latest track record win at Ayr 20th Sept. Turf record 28 runs with 8 wins!
“Enough enough”,now 95 to 110. I cannot see her in too many handicaps in the future.

    Friday 27th Sept
    Newmarket 17.20pm Cl3 H’c 9F Soft (6.1)
Soft ground predicted for tomorrow so somewhat of an unknown on such ground for MORE THUNDER. Nevertheless, ratings favour the inform M Stoute. Unfortunately, I have already missed the odds available earlier and have taken 6/1. There are a couple of outsiders who also figure well; Civil Law 20/1 & Magnum Opus 10/1. Magnus Opus has run well in better class on latest outing and does look value for a place. There is a Trainer Change for Gloucestershire to Martyn Meade ex Hannon. Westridge has been gelded and has first run since.

    Newmarket 15.40 bet365 Cambridgeshire (Heritage Handicap) (Class 2) (3yo+)
Going remains soft. The top 4 rated have the favoured high draw (favoured by results the last few years at least) and look an attractive mix of favoured and outside odds. This Songisforyou, Waiting All Night, Godwinson, Theoryofeverything.

    Sunday 29th Sept
    Epsom 16.05pm
The Cambridgeshire was not a good result. The expected high draw advantage, for whatever reason, did not work out as expected. Never mind onward and upward.
Epsom 10F in the heavy (“soft in places” 5.2), is maybe not a sensible race to have a bet. Nevertheless, Arthur’s Realm is the only runner who has form on this going and could be a candidate for a place having a rating that puts him in 3rd spot at 10/1. A word of caution: The last five runnings of this race has turned up short priced winners. 3Yr old Odin Legacy was expensive yearling and could figure.

    Monday 30th Sept
    Hamilton Park 15.35
    Cl3 9F H’c

We saved ourselves a bet today (Sunday), that proved a sensible decision given the complete outsider getting over the line in our selected race.

A better opportunity should be Monday with Faylaq. I’ve taken the 7/2 on offer.

    Tuesday 1st October
    Ayr 16.35pm Cl4 6F Good
Be Proud 8 Yrs – poor run latest in much higher grade, the drop back a couple of grades should make for a good run. Currently 6/1.

    Tues 1st October
    UPDATED Ayr 16.35 Cl4 6F Good 9 run.
The odds have changed somewhat from the initial prices. The fluctuation affects the ratings as can be seen in the graph. Be Proud still hold pole position but others are moving closer.

    Wed 2nd Oct
    Nottingham 3.45
    Cl2 6F Heavy
Latest odds and the First shows are at this time having the same figures.
When Latest odds change the graph will show the changes, either up or down.
(if there is a recommended bet the runner will be highlighted in bold),
Heavy forecast with very few here having proven form on such conditions.

    Wednesday 2nd October
    Catterick 17.05pm Cl5 12F
Dancing Poet is currently the best rated but at the age of 9 must be a concern.

    Thursday 3rd October
    Salisbury 16.20pm
    Cl4 10F Heavy (6.0)
Form is very sketchy for this Class 4 race. The Heavy ground will be a deciding factor in finding the winner but there doesn’t seem to be any nuggets of “heavy going” form from this group. New Chelsea first run since wind op and wearing visor for the first time. Bucephalus has won hurdle race on the heavy – that might be a clue. 3Yr old Odin Legacy was an expensive yearling and could figure in the finish.

    Thursday 3rd Oct
    Salisbury 16.20pm
    Cl4 10F Heavy
UPDATE; Indemnity is the only runner in this race to attract some money. As a consequence the rating has been promoted to close to the top rating.
