    UPDATE
Northern Spirit holds up with the updated ratings. Unusual to have a real outsider maintaining top spot.

    MONDAY 14th October
    Hereford 15.00pm
    Cl4 Handicap Hurdle 21F Good
    UPDATE (1)
Baskerville for A King & Jockey Oscar Palmer were double entered and chose this Hereford race as opposed to similar grade at Wincanton later in the week.
From very early showing, there has been a markedly strong volume for Baskerville. Such has bumped up the ratings to a level that is joint leader with a couple of others; Namely, Height Of Fashion and Galata Bridge. Interest in outsider Gris Majeur.

Court In The Act runs well fresh and although well down the field on latest outing that race at Sandown was a hot affair. Short priced favourite but looks solid. Update will follow Tues morning.

    Market Rasen 15.05pm
    Cl4 3y+H’c HURDLE 16F Good
    UPDATE
Caught In The Act also had an engagement in what looks like a much hotter handicap on Thursday at Wincanton. It must be significant that this race was chosen and that the money continues to pile on towards being an odds on SP !
Bannister is the only other to attractive a positive move.

    UPDATE

Couple of non runners has changed the complexion of the race; Our Golden One holds up, just. Money for Mr Alan and Winston’s Tipple has influenced the ratings. It’s altogether too close a call for me.

    Thursday 17th October
    Wincanton 16.03pm
    Cl4 H’c Hurdle 21F Good
    FIRST SHOW
Diplomatie has had 6 trainer changes in her life. Recently been running in easier Jersey races, hence her list of good placings. Recent hurdle promising effort. The current rating puts her on 22 which is about right with the tissue of 3/1. The latest show (tomorrow morning) should be a strong indicator of support or not – as the case maybe.

    UPDATE
Thirtyfour Thirty with Charlton as the new Trainer has attractive nibbles of money and moved the rating a point. Not much else happening re the market so Diplomatie is still the best rated.

    Uttoxeter 15.55pm

    FIRST SHOW
Non of these has recent form so the race is a lottery and Tamar Bridge hasn’t run for almost 2 years !
Pretending is the youngest in the field who has run in better class in April 24. Now has Gavin Sheehan for first ride on this one. The Latest Update tomorrow should produce a clearer picture.

    BREAKDOWN FOR THE RATINGS
Tomorrow’s Catterick Race (as shown in earlier thread) has the breakdown highlighting how the Ratings were achieved. The various elements are collated for each runner and in order of merit the ratings are shown.
As will be appreciated, the charts should not be overly detailed, indeed they need to be kept as simple and clear as possible. For this reason the usual charts show the ratings for either the First showing or Updated to show both First and Updated chart with associated Ratings. The list of headings are therefore not shown with the multitude of colour bars. All the detail is housed within either the blue or orange bars.

I hope this has been informative and added to the interest.
