Theinval ▲ 7 lbs

Escapes a penalty today by virtue of winning a condition event on latest run.
Handicapper has however noted the run and a 7lb increase in the ratings to 126 will kick in from next week.
Theinval’s latest race Kempton 26th Nov (2 days after close of todays race) was pretty sticky ground and the selection ran a gutsy race beating Lough Kent (+1 for future h’cap) & Germany Calling (-3lbs) both of these beaten runners were well supported in the market.
Condition likely to be sticky again today regarding the ground – good jockey booking but Trainer is not in the best of form.

Has yet to win a hurdle race, but today’s mark should find this one goes close.
Mostly chase form of late but hurdle latest. A race with a few quirky types this may be value

Prettyasapicture ▲ 7 lbs

Ran Taunton 13th Nov, fell when challenging and the handicapper was impressed enough to raise this one 7lbs for the effort.
Goes today instead of a smaller value Doncaster mares race tomorrow. There are couple of fancied runners who are considerably older than the selection which is an added incentive to get involved today:
Looks to be value at 9/2 (seems very easy to back at those odds at the mo) and will carry my money as an added burden no doubt !

Latest five runs in chase events and masks the good run here at Doncaster 6th February when handicapper upped this one 11lbs for a hurdle win.
Trainer looking for a win after a lean couple of weeks but at least some of his have been placed.
Fair value at 9/1 this morning

The intention under this heading of Handicap Hikes is to work form in conjunction any known official rating to arrive at a private handicap.
Each day the best class or best £value of race will be selected from Chases or Hurdles. 1 race only per day.
Staking will be 10 pts win (single selection up to 12 runners) 2 selections 12 runners or more. 10pts win each. No each way bets.
Top rated will be the automatic selection
2nd top rated will be automatically also selected when there are 12 or more runners.
Profit and loss will be recorded regularly.

The ratings will normally focus on Handicap races although not exclusively.
The ratings will consider the current type of race ie. Chase or hurdle
The rating figures will show the runners best performance/s. Highest rating figure equals best performance.
Where the rating is more than a 100 days ago [….] bracketted figures are used
Where the rating is more than 200 days ago [[…]]] double bracketted figures used.
Occasionally there will be shown both recent and 100 days + form figures.
Position in the list will indicate top and second top rated in all cases.
Not all runners will necessarily be assigned a rating figure. However, top 2 will always be rated.
