Bellum Justum, surely he should improve? With the Derby looking wide open, anything is possible, right?

As much as he ran a stinker of a race, it doesn’t mean that all
the excuses, jockey/trainer/connections, are wrong. I can see
City OF Troy going off 6/4. I’ve not backed him other than
speculative double with Rubies Are Red (4/1 & 9/1). I’m aware
these are bigger prices than they are now, I should have posted
earlier. It’s on Bet365 and unlike Paddy Power you can’t copy
and paste. Nathan is a bit of a whizz with these techy things.
So after there being a bit of finger pointing earlier on the
thread, I don’t want to get “the black spot”,I’ll happily post
the bet if you have any ideas Nathan.

Looking for something at more profitable odds, I was well
impressed by Voyage, who didn’t run as a 2 year old but won
a decent class Novice in impressive style. It’s a stab in
the dark but 33/1 could be decent e/w value. He’s by Golden
Horn who won the Derby, the Eclipse, the Irish Champion
Stakes and the ARC. A lot of his progeny seem to have done
well over 1m6f which could be handy if the forecast rain comes.
I’ll leave it at that until the big day.

If you post your betting slip to me BigG, I’ll happily keep it in a safe place until after the race thus keeping you out of that black spot and post your winnings asap

Arabian Crown out this race that is a blow for the stable from having three contenders to one and that one is more hope than expectation. Looking a poor renewal unless one of them puts up a real show.

The more I know the less I understand.

After the Guineas, who would have thought City Of Troy would be 7/4 favourite with some bookmakers?

I reckon he’ll be no better than 6/4 on the day

The Derrinstown used to regularly throw up the winner of this and Los Angeles who took it this year is the only one which appeals to me.

The more I know the less I understand.

Looks like survival of the fittest. I hope economics goes to the Derby. Looked top notch in the Derby. Diego the value bet if he runs. His price will plummet if he is confirmed. Los Angeles will be thereabouts abd god knows what to expect from city of troy. Here’s hoping we have a top notch winner.

    Diego is by frankel

They probably won’t run him because they don’t own the sire

Off to france he goes again

The Derby picture is looking muddy I am still hoping Grosvenor Square gets a shot. He may come on for his 1st run like AOB horses have been doing, he’s bred to be decent, and is as big as 50-1 now. There is a chance he may not run but if he does we have seen, when it looks an open Derby, that AOB lower strings have won. Like Serpentine 25-1 and Wings Of Eagles 40-1.

Derby looks a real head scratcher this year.

I quite fancy Dancing Gemini at the prices but not a definite runner.

By Camelot out of an Australia mare. The step up in trip should suit. Was staying on nicely for 2nd in the French 2000.

The way it’s going I have no idea  might just choose a random outsider
