October 28, 2022 at 23:56 #1620703Got to back my TTF horse so it’s the B.M.G. for me
October 29, 2022 at 09:44 #1620729Some very likable types in this and they’ll all be carrying my stake at some point during the season, but in this I’m going to go for Eldorado Allen at a price. This will have can his target unlike the others who have bigger things in their sights. Track and conditions to suit, happy to have a go.
October 29, 2022 at 11:28 #1620747The market looks odd. Ahoy Senor near enough even money favourite against a horse who stuffed him last season and who is 2-1. Should be an interesting watch. Looks to me like Ahoy Senor is being hyped up for the season as a possible Gold Cup winner. Wouldn’t touch him for that, he wasn’t even the best novice. L’homme Presse, for one, taught him a lesson.
October 29, 2022 at 11:40 #1620750The two horses have met three times in their careers so far – Ahoy Senor won two of those races.
Bravemansgame may have had valid excuses for those defeats, but Ahoy Senor might have been ill suited by right-handed Kempton Park.
His wins here, at Newbury and at Aintree suggest a level left-handed circuit suits him.
I can see why he is favourite, but I’d suggest this is a race where there are no certainties.
Looking forward to it.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"October 29, 2022 at 11:51 #1620752No question BMG wasn’t at his best in the 2 races he lost. I take your point about the right handed track argument.
October 29, 2022 at 12:04 #1620755Ahoy senor jumps right and hangs right so I don’t see the argument for him not liking going right handed
He just jumped badly at kempton
Bravemansgame keeps drifting il get tempted
As it stands I think sporting john is a better bet in the race before than either ahoy senor or Bravemansgame in this
He’s clear on ratings and goes very well fresh.
October 29, 2022 at 12:16 #1620759I take your point, FF, but the fact remains that every one of Ahoy Senor’s career wins – including his Point-to-Point – has been on a left-handed track.
LH form: U12111121
RH form: U2
He’s a right Bono on a right-handed track and let’s face it that’s something no man nor beast wants to be.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"October 29, 2022 at 12:41 #1620768Little tip – last season (I haven’t tried it this season) betfair sportsbook would leave the ante-post markets up and not suspend them during trial races – so you could back a horse after it’s p*ssed up for its long-term target for a couple of minutes before they suspended the betting.
So if anyone has a betfair sportsbook account it’s worth keeping a tab open with the King George market and deposit a few quid ready in case a horse wins easily in this Charlie Hall
October 29, 2022 at 12:49 #1620772You’d have to back a lot of losers in between times to keep getting away with pulling THAT sort of stunt, Ben!

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"October 29, 2022 at 12:54 #1620775Hahaha yeah you’re not wrong there mate, though I do know a guy who works in the industry and he said Betfair often put a lot of their junior/worse staff on the sportsbook so you can get away with things a bit more than on other sites with shrewder more established traders.
The way I see it though is just abuse these firms as much as you can while you can because if you know what you’re doing and don’t gamble your winnings away like a degenerate, you’ll inevitably get banned before long anyway so make hay while the sun shines!
I remember I had a StanJames account about 5 years ago, I opened it on a Saturday, placed 2 losing horse bets and they limited my account to £2 stakes hahaha they took my money and ran the b@startds!
October 29, 2022 at 14:36 #1620806I’ve gone for Bravemansgame 2/1, only a small bet, as it’s hard to be super confident with this lineup, just feel he’s the better value all things considered.
October 29, 2022 at 14:41 #1620810He’s never won a Kimble point-to-point, though, Ben – afaik it’s the only remaining UK Point venue with a water jump now Tweseldown has closed.
I feel this key factor may have been underplayed in the previews!
