Queens Trust and all AOB horses running on Lasix. The other Stoute horses and Decorated Hero are not. Not sure about the other Europeans, or if it is even relevent

It should only be relevant if the horse could bleed just a little, more than 50% does or to hide whatever other chemical the horse was given. This is why Lasix is prohibited in general for Jockeys (at least in Scandinavia), it can disguise other agents.

    What’s the vibe on Ribchester….?
I think the draw and tight bends won’t do him any favours

Having already backed James Garfield at 7/1 for the Juvenile Turf tonight I’ve decided to have a few runners for me in the other 3 Breeders Cup races tonight. I’m really keen on Rushing Fall to overturn the heavily tried Happily in the Juvenile Fillies Turf and have gone in on her at 4/1 for my biggest bet of the evening. In the Dirt Mile I’ve backed Battle Of Midway each-way at 16/1 hoping his stamina will come into play. And in the Distaff, I know there have been speculated negatives against her but I think Steller Wind represents value at 7/2 and have nibbled at that to keep me up late.

Good luck all with their varied selections tonight.

As another who has followed Ribchester this season I am loathe to abandon him now – but abandon him I must , and bet against him I will , if so inclined .

I simply cannot envisage a horse who likes a good galloping track with a bit of cut handling or enjoying the firm surface and tight turns of Del Mar . Ribchester is one to lay , I reckon .
So , in keeping with the belief that the home contingent will be hard to beat in all but a couple of races , I have to side with the improving grey , World Approval , who handles the tight turns well and is tough as old boots .

Ribchester broke a track record on GF this year, arguably his best performance this season, the tight turns shouldnt be an issue hes experienced enough, if he cant win i dont think there would be excuses for him

    Juvenile Fillies

Interesting race with Moonshine Memories a worthy fav as a two-time G1 winner. She has been well-placed in her races and Mr Beyer is skeptical, which is enough for me to look elsewhere. Separationofpowers is a funny one – got caught in a pace war before fading two starts ago before showing surprising stamina to grind them down next time. She gets the coffin box here though. I’m inclined to side with Heavenly Love, who will enjoy the ideal draw and looks bettable at 5/1 after an impressive win last time out.

I also think this is an after thought for Ribchester from connections
Would he have come here if he had won the QE11, has it always been on the agenda…?
The QE11 was a tough race he was up with the pace and kicked early, he looked legless in the final furlong despite staying on again after being passed, must of taken something out of him. It will be hard for him to kick for home early here and he is not quick enough to wait. I love the horse but can’t have him here.

    Cheers Clints.

On a side note, looking at the aerial shots of Del Mar on ATR this evening I notice that there is basically nothing around it so I wonder why it was built so tight. They surely had all the room in the world so why not make it a bit bigger? The grandstand certainly is big enough but just a shame the course is about half a mile too short round. Maybe it’s all about a better viewing experience for the spectators. Wikipedia tells me it was constructed in 1937 so maybe there was limited space back then.
