As a backer of khaadem I should be happy but the race has lost a bit of its lustre now
And frenchy you haven’t lost your money potato is wrong
After 2 day decs its NRNB rule 4 applies
September 6, 2019 at 12:45 #1452951Also I didnt say that HELLO YOUZMAIN has probably peaked I said he may have already peaked and he may have.
Haha, what’s the difference?

Again you are unable to see that the weight recieving 91 rated filly showed massive improvemt to get 2nd in that race at odds of 20/1 she backed that run up next time and was just a neck behind the 109 rated PRETTY POLLYANNA.
With Raucous winning? So Pretty Pollyanna is running to the same level she did when beaten 2.25L by Advertise? Sounds suspect to me!
Based on Potato logic Raucous a 26 raced horse, Major Jumbo a 30 raced horse and Rock on Baileys a 15 raced horse are showing bumps of improvement……
Yes he was beaten by 3.5 lengths by Advertise in the July cup though is not necessarily completely held.
Ok, so Hello Youmzain is completely held, beaten 1.75Ls not stopping at the finish, but MJ isn’t completely held……
This is good work Potato. No need to speak in a condescending tone either, i don’t think you realise how difficult it is for some people on the forum to work out what goes on in Potato land haha!

I disagree with that statement that it was nr no bet yesterday because after the 48 hour declarations yesterday bet365 were definitely not going non runner no bet they were still antepost mode.
Different bookmakers can have different rules so its plausible that some may have gone non runner no bet but I thought that it was always the day befoe the race when they offer non runner no bet. I may be wrong though as I stated when I put Major Jumbo bet on initially this was a very rare antepost bet for me. My last one I believe was Elegant Escape for the gold cup.
Venture To Cognac would be the man to ask I guess as he always does antepost bets.
Ultimately whatever the truth is it is your own responsibility to check the terms of the bet you are placing when you are placing it.
September 6, 2019 at 12:53 #1452953Thought so FF, phew! It’s also made the Dream of Dreams bet looking healthier, but I too am really disappointed that Advertise is out.
September 6, 2019 at 12:54 #1452954Potato has gone all Ginge on us – TLDR
September 6, 2019 at 12:56 #1452955i don’t think you realise how difficult it is for some people on the forum to work out what goes on in Potato land haha!
I think only Potato knows what’s going on in Potato land!
Potato if Major Jumbo storms home tomorrow, you’d need only about another 3 or 4 x 66/1 shots going in and you’d be somewhere back level for the season I reckon!
September 6, 2019 at 12:58 #1452956Sorry I ddnt see Big Gs post. Maybe it was non runner no bet after 48 hour decs. I thought it was 24 hours before the race when bookmakers change terms but I will take Big G as being experiencrd and correct on this matter and clearly im wrong.
I swear bet365 were still in antepost mode yesterday but clearly i must be wrong.
As stated not my usual type of bet so i am the novice on these matters.
September 6, 2019 at 13:23 #1452958“You really shouldnt be making bets that you dont understand the rules off. Take this bad experience on your part as an education about antepost betting.”
Should maybe heed your own advice hahaha

If you dont understand the difference between probable and possible then I cant help you. Thats an intelligence issue not a lack of racing knowledge issue.

Well the official handicapper seems to think the filly has improved as he has raised her to an official rating of 94 from her rating of 91 when she got beat by Major Jumbo in the listed race. He then felt she improved when behind Pretty pollyanna as he again raised her , this time to 99. No offence boy but the official handicapper has better understanding of improvement than you do.
Based on Potato logic Raucous a 26 raced horse, Major Jumbo a 30 raced horse and Rock on Baileys a 15 raced horse are showing bumps of improvement……
I never said anything about Raucous improving. I said the filly who was 2nd to Major Jumbo had improved. Though Raucous has improved or at least found his old form from 2016. he started the season on 99 amd has now been put up to 106. Again the handicapper felt that run was an improvement on his previous run as he raised his handicap after it albeit only 1lb but its still improvement.
Yes he was beaten by 3.5 lengths by Advertise in the July cup though is not necessarily completely held.
Ok, so Hello Youmzain is completely held, beaten 1.75Ls not stopping at the finish, but MJ isn’t completely held……
Correct hence why Kevin stott opted to ride Major Jumbo as opposed to Hell9 Youzmain. I have already covered this one.

I dont understand? I always make sure I fully understand the terms and conditions of every bet that I place.
I think your getting confused. It wasnt me who placed a bet on Advertise yesterday. Had I have done so I would have made sure that I completely understood the terms and conditions of the bet I was placing before I parted with any money.
Feel free to explain the point you are trying and failing to make though.
September 6, 2019 at 13:43 #1452961No bookie has different Antepost rules, they are universal. Once the horses are declared all bets are no longer antepost. Declaration was 10am yesterday morning. Hence why the bookies take down the market around 9.30-45 before declaration confirmations.
Potato, instead of writing essays on a 66/1 shot i suggest we see what the horse does tomorrow.

I’m no fan of Potato, I also think he’s over enthusiastic at times, but he’s right it’s the punter’s responsibility to check the terms of the bet, ie is it Ante Post or not. Are they going non runner money back or not. Just because one bookmaker does something doesn’t mean the bookmaker you bet with is doing the same thing.
You've got to accentuate the positive.
Eliminate the negative.
Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.September 6, 2019 at 13:45 #1452963You insulted someone for not knowing the ante post rules when you didnt know them yourself
Thought my point was very obvious

This was my understanding too

He raised her to 94 from her run behind MJ- yep. That doesn’t mean PP has run to the same level in that race as she did behind Advertise, stop making things up.
I never said anything about Raucous improving. I said the filly who was 2nd to Major Jumbo had improved.
No you didn’t but for Pretty Pollyanna to have run to form, Raucous had to improve as he was rated lower than her, while also giving her significant weight. For the handicapper to only raise Raucous a pound, he is signaling that PP is likely to have run below par. He’d be a 110+ horse if she ran to form.
You’ve covered a lot Potato as you say, a lot of it is on a different planet.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!September 6, 2019 at 13:59 #1452966I read in the post yesterday that pretty pollyanna lost a shoe when beaten last time
September 6, 2019 at 14:02 #1452967You insulted someone for not knowing the ante post rules when you didnt know them yourself
Thought my 3 was very obvious
I didnt insult anybody I correctly stated that it is your own responisbility to understand the rules of the bet you are placing.
I didnt need to know the rules about what happened if I put a bet on yesterday after final decs as I didnt put a bet on yesterday after the final decs.
Had I of done so I would have made sure I knew and understood the rules as that would have been my responisbility.Your points are once again completely invalid.
