Gerald you had better hope he gets the soft ground he will need for that
over round action of his! My horse will go on any ground, though in an ideal world Good ground will see him stretch out that monster stride
of his!March 5, 2009 at 06:06 #213498Naqoos it is…10-1 come on. Really exciting horse and cant wait to see him. Westphalia wont see which way he went.
If Naqoos was with AOB he’d be even money after that arc day win. Intense Focus is overpriced @ 20-1 with giants causeway guineas record and will also have a go on him but Naqoos aready has his beating and although he is open to improvement, he needs to improve.
March 5, 2009 at 07:16 #213500Breaking News-
ZACINTO OUT OF THE 2,000 GUINEAS!!!!!!!

Not great news, more to follow on the racing post site
Sir Michael says he will not be ready yet.
Fair enough – now I’m out of ideas, but Naaqoos adds spunk to the line-up.
March 5, 2009 at 10:21 #213505I went a bit overboard, because Freddie Head said that they would review the situation again after the Prix Djebel, so its not definite definite that Naaqoos will go for the 2000 Guineas.
I’m ignorant Gordon, and don’t know anything about stride patterns, but I’ll concede that Mastercraftsman went to the well once too often.
If anyone says that Rainbow View for the 1000 is small, my reply is that she isn’t small, she’s just got short legs.I’m a bit concerned that both horses are being slagged off on the betfair forum for having late foaling dates.
March 5, 2009 at 17:30 #213580What was the Bolgerhorse that was in front of Intense Focus in the Goffs Million, think it was 2nd. He looked good but not seen since.
March 5, 2009 at 17:34 #213581Gan Amhras is the Bolger horse you’re thinking of Stan – entered in both Guineas and the Derby.
March 5, 2009 at 19:43 #213606You just wait ’til Rip Van Winkle awakes. He’ll shake ’em all up.

Gambling Only Pays When You're Winning
March 5, 2009 at 23:43 #213648Gan Amhras would look a decent bet in the derby at 25-1 along with Jukebox Jury at 33s and Montaff at whatever price you can get him at.
Cant see Gan Amhras having anywhere near the speed for a guineas attempt, the yeilding ground on goffs million day would have greatly inconvenienced many of the runs and not gan Amhras, on likely gd-fm at newmarket Intense Focus will reverese placings (and thats if gan amhras even turns up).

Gan Amhras is Bolgers best 3yo, the draw beat him in the goffs million
and he is a Derby horse!March 6, 2009 at 02:37 #213710

Did anyone else spot Bet365’s huge mistake this evening?
Crowded House, a general 7/1 and 8/1 chance, was knocked out to 66/1 whilst every other firm remained static. He’s since been cut back to 6/1.
I don’t believe he’ll run, with Brian Meehan having Delegator aimed at the race, but I wish I’d had a few quid in my account all the same

You know – I’ve been thinking of this, and I am warming to Rip Van Winkle again.
Remembering, this horse left the speedy filly Cuis Ghaire for dead whilst she was heading the 1,000 Guineas markets.
I don’t think APO’B will rely on Masterscraftsman to do his 2,000 Guineas bidding. I personally think a few will be ahead of him come May.
March 6, 2009 at 15:33 #213818Remember everybody expected O’Brien to have one or two ahead of his early season horse Henrythenavigator last year, but sometimes his good one is out fairly early and wins the early pots. Still think Gan Amhras is a serious horse and New Approach and Sir Percy proved you can run well in the Guineas and be a Derby horse if classy enough. Also there is no certainty the Guineas will be run on fast ground, given the wet summer and winter we had, it could easily be a wet spring.
March 6, 2009 at 16:29 #213845Rip Van Winkle will not win the Guineas. He doesn’t look like a Guineas winner and he hasn’t the form to win a Guineas. I actually wouldn’t be surprised if he turns out to be a sprinter I was very disappointed with his lack of "running on" in last seasons Dewhurst.
He’s a shocking price too – LAY HIM!!
Neck on the line lol, well Fist / Aristo isn’t the only one who can do it.
March 6, 2009 at 17:38 #213876Hi guys, I’m a long time lurker and this is my first post. I’m a flat man so naturally looking forward to the 2009 season.
Here I’ve a request for any of forum members who has the video of the Dewhust race, please upload it on youtube as I very much want to see the race again.
Thanks in advance!
