Similar horse to Gleneagles, I think he will be much better than Gleneagles though, very likely to take the same root. If you did you would be wealthy, you dont need to over complicate things just copy what I do
July 12, 2016 at 21:46 #1255601Steve i don’t think Churchill is home and hosed i know a long way to go yet but i think as year go he become main horse for AOB regarding 2000 guineas he not there yet but think he will be at end of year
And steve any views on irish 2yo fillys for 1000 guineas
I haven’t seen many I fancy this year Darren. Cuff looked promising but was injured and it seemed like she was shaping like one of Aidan’s best
Promise To Be True made a good start for a May foal at Tipperary. She was just getting the hang of racing in the latter stages but came through to win nicely. Aidan trains and she is by the mighty Galileo, so plenty of reasons to be positive.
The Irish scene seems to be changing, Jim Bolger is not quite getting them these past few seasons, John Oxx is in the doldrums and David Wachman seems to have slipped off the face of the earth.
No doubt some promising ones will be seen over the next couple of months, before the inevitable plethora of maidens later, at a time when we are usually thinking Derby/Oaks types than the Guineas raced for the newcomers.
Still early days I think.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

4/6 Favourite for that race.
A good win surely sees her contract to between 6/1 and 8/1 for the Guineas if normal service is resumed.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
July 23, 2016 at 22:51 #1257130Just for comparison, these are the dates that the 1000 Guineas winners made their 2yo debut going back to Shadayid in 1991:-

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
July 25, 2016 at 16:37 #1257466Fair Eva looks an absolute monster, early days but cant see anything touching her in the guineas.
July 25, 2016 at 22:02 #1257508Fair Eva was rated 113 by the Racing Post for her latest success. She earned a Topspeed mark of 106 for the effort and those are good numbers after just two runs.
A seven pound improvement between now and the end of the season would see Fair Eva in Minding territory on the ratings and we all saw that such a mark is plenty good enough if the filly can train on at three years old.
With any luck, I won’t have to pick another filly for the Guineas and can dream of 20/1 and 14/1 vouchers. It’s a long way off though and I’ve had my share of injuries, NR’s and flops along the trail.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
July 25, 2016 at 22:11 #1257509That’s really impressive Stevie. I’ve got on at 12’s and will be dreaming with you. It’s very early days and I would still be wary of other Frankelina’s but so far so good…..

July 25, 2016 at 22:45 #1257514BTW – wasn’t 113 the same mark Dad got in HIS second race…….?

August 10, 2016 at 15:20 #1259332Of the AOB fillys one i like the most is RHODODENDRON 20/1 show she improve a lot on 2nd run beat horse who was behind my guineas horse at Goodwood and of the AOB horses i like her a lot i do.
August 16, 2016 at 14:23 #1259965Will Fair Eva strengthen her position on Thursday or will the bubble burst?
My slight concern was that she got very sweaty just before the start at Ascot. In the race itself she showed a bright turn of foot to quicken to the leaders, looked around a bit before running on very powerfully.
Worry for me taking the short odds in the Lowther is this Queen Kindly. By the same sire and looks to have a rolls royce action for quick ground. If Fair Eva boils over in what is likely to be an extremely hot day I think she’ll be the one to take advantage. Her dam won this race as well. I do think Fair Eva will win, but there’s really no juice in the price at the moment at around 2-1 on.
August 16, 2016 at 18:46 #1259983Didn’t see the sweat to be honest Judge. Not even after the race. She has a lovely laid-back nature and was very professional. I think she will win easily but if there is any achilles heel it could just be as Steve mentioned a while ago – is there a speed merchant in the field that can run her off her feet? If there is then you’re right it could well be Queen Kindly. For me that long York straight will suit her nicely and she’ll pick them up entering the final furlong. Not really a betting race though I agree.

August 18, 2016 at 18:26 #1260325Of the AOB fillys one i like the most is RHODODENDRON 20/1 show she improve a lot on 2nd run beat horse who was behind my guineas horse at Goodwood and of the AOB horses i like her a lot i do.
Joined you in on that one @ 20’s
August 18, 2016 at 19:43 #1260334The only thing I would say from todays race is I think we didn’t see the guineas winner. Ballydoyle has two or three fillies that will improve past these. Wouldn’t be surprised to see roly poly and fair Eva better over longer distances.
August 24, 2016 at 16:52 #1261045Think you right Mickey i think RHODENDRON be no1 guineas horse for AOB still a bit green on sunday idle when in front she did.But Moyglare is next for her
September 7, 2016 at 16:04 #1262342Moyglare this week so should be another pointer for filles classic next year hope RHODODENDRON wins i do.
September 7, 2016 at 18:17 #1262352I am very disappointed with the field size and quality of the Irish 2yo races this week. I don’t see us learning much from these weak looking races this weekend. Churchill may line up against two opponents and Rhododendron doesn’t seem to have much to face in another small field.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
