Round
" if taken in conjunction with his other comments (about how well he now settles) – is sending out a warning – that he is now complete!

The real deal, a marvel of perfection… & "ready" to take on the world!I found it quite enlightening Ruby!
Well the bit about ‘Snow Fairy’ anyways…
Wonder if we will knowthe real
target for SYT before Sunday evening?!!

Thank you Zenjah. And lets hope SEA MOON can win the leger
You got the price and a run for your money…

Thank you Zenjah though not keen on your taste in music

It’s a good job that we’re not
neiggghh
bors then!!

"
Round
" as in carrying condition… just starting back up again…
(Cumani once said that of one of his after he ran in the Foy – claimed he had been on the pasta and in need of it!)
That fella ‘Alkaased’ then went on to set a record time in the Japan cup!
"
Ready
" to go on from there – expect improvement even if he does step up in trip…
He made a point of saying that, " the lads said that today ‘Snow Fairy’
was back at her ideal racing weight for the first time this year
"…
just a little something (not that it matters does it?) that us punters weren’t made aware of beforehand! What would have been handy to know, had Aiden have said, was that SYT was actually say
30lbs say over his ideal
…
think back to the POW – and then onto the Eclipse – wouldn’t those digits from the scales tell us a whole lot more – and take away debate over whether or not he was telling the truth?

DREAM AHEAD
I think he bounce back from race in France to win at Haydock at weekend
Nice
tip!

But measuring a horse’s chance by the number of G1s they’ve won (instead of their form) is a dangerous business.
Hey Presto all will be revealed next weekend re: the chances of Goldi’s ‘lil sister!
As said she may prove much better suited to going over the classic distance…
one worry might be that she has taken in a prep for the Ver instead of using it as a prep for the Arc?As you said – they were easliy dismissed in Arc betting – something to do with
meeting ‘Sea The Stars’
…
Also your are right ‘Dar’ never had to "deal" with a ‘Golden’ –
only ‘Zarkava
‘…
One thing for sure is supportors of ‘Gali’ will be hoping that she breaks her Group1 duck long before ‘Dar’ did!
P.s. we all read form differently – as is apparent on here!
One thing for sure is Dupre has many lines…
and so do some others after this weekend!PPS – I can’t believe that it takes an odds on win before people can give an opinion on whether ‘SYT’ will or not win the Arc!

Meeting still very instructive, the day Sunday, September 11 we will attend the three preparatory Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe,

From Paris Turf:
Reopening of Longchamp
!
Friday, September 2 will be the reopening of the Hippodrome the Bois de Boulogne, which will inaugurate the meeting fall, consisting of eleven meetings, which expires at the end of October.Meeting still very instructive, the day Sunday, September 11 we will attend the three preparatory Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe,

Cool!
… there is a vid with Gosden talking about MM on the Racing Post TV section (don’t know if you’ve seen it?) – he says that Fortune reckoned that MM was pulling himself last time – having found the tents a distraction…I wonder about how much ‘BB’ has had left at the end of her races?
(Most seem to take it for granted that she’ll love going further)…
Her tail has gone rather wild when she has come under maximum pressure, whether that is to do with the stick or not – I’m not sure?
But could it be a sign that she is at the end of hers – giving her all – if that’s the case how much has she actually had left to give?!
It might be nothing… (and I’m not knocking her by any means)… yet it’s something to question – and something that I’d want an answer to – esp with these – so called – each way – good things!
Grimes – Nutting was on ATR today saying how well he was doing…

Also Jamie Moore spoke on ATR of how Ryan is getting fit for ‘WF’ in the Arc (sounds like it’s the
only
thing that matters to him) – so it backs up story today from the Sproting Life RE: ‘Sea Moon’ going for the Leger first…
should please at least you Darren?!!
The end of the article could of course bring you or any other ‘Moon’ supporters nightmares – though that all depends on how you take your T!!?

BAD MOON RISING FOR ARC SUPPORTERS
By The Marksman
Sea Moon, who is a general 10/1 shot with Sky Bet for the Arc, will follow the St Leger route as a red hot favourite to give Sir Michael Stoute only his second victory in the oldest Classic.
Although there has been no official announcement ruling out an Arc bid, Ryan Moore is aiming to be back in time from his arm injury sustained at Goodwood to partner Workforce at Longchamp.
The three-time former Champion jockey made it clear at the yard earlier this week it was the defending Arc hero who would be the Freemason Lodge representative for his boss as far as he was concerned.
However, what is not in doubt is the stable confidence behind their once fragile colt for the Leger and as long as he arrives at Doncaster in one piece on Saturday week he is the one they all have to beat.
Sea Moon’s preparation following his 8l annihilation of the Great Voltigeur field has gone like clockwork and his work at home since has been designed to boost his confidence.
The type to only ever do just enough whether working with a Group 1 horse or a plater, he was seen striding out purposefully on the Round Gallop earlier this week.
As soon as his work companion’s rider dropped his hands, Sea Moon showed he was on very good terms with himself moving upsides before striding four or five lengths clear in the staged gallop.
Riding plans remain the one headache for Stoute as Richard Hughes, who was on board at York, has been claimed for Census but finding a replacement should not pose a problem.
The Marksman saw Tom Queally’s agent Tony Elves move quicker than Usain Bolt off a false start to corner Stoute on the Knavesmire and his turn of foot was impressive for a man of his stature.
Did you whack it – JJ?!!
(that’s a joke I’ll have to explain sometime…)
You could of got a couple of points more after the ‘Plant’ flopped at Ascot!
Joking aside…
She was one that was always going to shorten – wasn’t she?! – Will she still be Fav after the Foy??‘Nakayama Festa’ has been kept back for this all year…
should he be such a price this time around (assuming that he’s capable of running the same race again) – meeting these on revised weight terms?

Added: If some feel that ‘Workforce’ has yet to show improved form from 3to4 then on the clock it would be unfair to assume the same of ‘Sarafina’.
SARAFINA TAKES WINNING STEP ON ARC ROUTE
"Sarafina returned to winning ways with a smooth victory in a classy renewal of the Gr 2 Prix Corrida at Saint-Cloud on Monday, and her campaign will now be laid out with the 2011 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe as its major target. The daughter of Refuse To Bend demonstrated that she has successfully made the transition from three to four years old and has progressed since…
On this occasion,Sarafina won in 2’10”5, breaking the record of the race which stood at 2’12 since 1985.
Time to bring this back up?Never a race to look forward the St. Leger and not sure i want to

It’s not a race that I like Ruby…
though I will be interested to see who rides pacemaker for ‘Blue Bunting’?
‘WB’ has been used to set pace – whilst it looks as if ‘AA’ has disappeared to Coventry – so could there be any truth in the rumors that went ’round Ascot after the King George that ‘AA’ had gone against orders?!
Zenjah you still dancing you listening to Elton John
Also how many horses in race like to be up with pace this will be run at a furious pace tomorrow.
Darren I could have said that the ‘Capt’ or ‘Piccy Filly’ might have been expected to be up there…
but what I couldn’t predict was that they would choose to split into two groups having raced throughout the week in a pack! The same happened back at Ascot come the time of the Golden Jubilee – this decision to suddenly split seems to happen out of the blue far too often for my liking!
In this sense we are at the sole mercy of the decision making of the jock on board! – Oh dear JP!
At least in the Abbye it is a case of rail or nothing!
P.s. – Elt was standing! lol!

You should know by now that this is more my vibe!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-n2kElk_1Ai have studied this race no end and i have come to the conclusion that i have absolutely no idea who is going to win i dont even fancy one so i’m going to go with my gut instinct and have a small each way bet on margot did
You must have been downing gallons of Yakult or something TJ?! – Well done!

Hamish McGonagall ew @ 40/1
Unmissable.Another big up to you Mr!

Last year I followed ‘Picadilly Filly’ ew into this – due to her good run in the Gros-Chene at Chantilly…
This year the form again is looking quite good – go through the race and there’s winners and plenty placed next/next time out!
The 1st ‘Wizz Kid’ – 2nd ‘Prohibit’ – 4th ‘Hamish McGonagall’ from the Prix Gros-Chene finished 5th, 3rd & 2nd at York…
It was nice to also see the form from France upheld again yesterday by an old fav of mine ‘Marchand’ in Deauville!

Hi Darren I’m not about to try and second guess SMS on where any of his are set to turn up!
I do hope that you get a run for your money though…

‘Galikova’ was the only horse not to shorten with the news this weekend! Good/Bad?
I was going to post re: her price before…
whilst it may be folly to go against any of these 3yr olds at the mo she seems very short when you cast back to the Arc last year and compare her price on what she has done to what ‘Sarafina’ had achieved.‘Sarafina’ was a 12/1 shot last Oct – having won a group 1 on only her second start – she made it two Group 1’s on her third start when she then went on to do the St Alary – Diane double which hadn’t been achieved since 87′ before ‘Stacelita’ had done the same the year before in 09′.
Now ‘Galikova’ is the same price if not shorter!!
This for a filly that has yet to win a G1 in two attempts.
She may well win her next start but it may be her toughest test yet… but if we are talking about a term that is banded about ‘value’ then she looks poor when compared to what ‘Sarafina’ was last year – on what she has achieved thus far….
it’s all about potential and I concede she may improve loads for the step up in trip and run the risk of eggy face!
I feel that the market might be sque whiff with regards to value at the mo’…

You’re right it is a shame that ‘Pour Moi’ misses the race – a race that now seems to be falling apart… when earlier on in the year ii looked like it could have been a real big field – stonker!!
It’s funny though… some time ago there was word from France (that can’t be quoted) that a Group1 winner in Britain for Fabre had met with a setback on the gallops.
I look forward to seeing if ‘Byword’ takes up any of his entrees on Arc weekend…there could yet be more twists to come!!

this race could still have more twists than dreadlocks!

You can now add ‘
Nakayama Festa
‘ to the Prix Foy! – As it has been updated today…
Someone @ FG must have been on the vino last night when the entrees were put/typed up!!
Here are the Arc trial entrees…

Hey Andy does this mean that you have a total lack of confidence in the other two then!
Classic
!!

I understand your frustrations there but let’s be fair what better place to gain valuable group1 riding experience than in
yet
another 5 runner race!!
It’s hardly the same as a rough house Arc or a full house 18 runner field in the Japan Cup…
it might even stand him in good stead for the Irish Champion!!
By the way this post should go in the "
best of thread
"!!

I was once advised that my luck would change if my money held out.It didn’t.But if I had more money who knows?
Thanks for that… made me laugh!
