    Hi Robert

Just like to echo other posters sentiments re Spanish Bounty and Golden Parkes. Had small inestments last night with B365 on both as ew singles at prices you highlighted as well as a v small e/w dble and having seen the results now find myself having won a 3 figure sum. Many many thanks and keep up the good work. As another poster indicates your analysis is truly fantastic and I just hope that your amount per point staked is a lot higher than mine which means you are making some good money through this work as second income.

Once again many thanks for sharing your thoughts and analysis on this forum

    Hi Robert

Thanks for your thoughts re Beggars Cap. Undertsnad the principles you are advocating around low weight in better class of race. Now best price 22/1 and 13/2 place so going to get on the latter bit now. Also note from oddschecker that 3 tipsters have put it up as their selction

Re tail end system, I have a copy of the book. Quite willing to pop it in the post for you to read and digest and then return when you are done. If this appeals e-mail me at yorkiedip@gmail.com with your address.

    Hi Robert

Your great thread continues. Thnx for still posting on TRF.

Re Beggars Cap, had a feeling you were going to tip this. I have followed this horse for over 2 years. I think it will pop up in a decent handicap at a massive price. Backed it in 2009 (I think was that year!!) grand annual at huge price and was going really well until fell.

I do thik that current hcp mark doesn’t truly reflect its ability. Think it could be a stone better but this means that tom only on my perceived possible mark (with it being so far out of handicap) hasa mark that its ability relates too. Surely there may hterefore be something better handicapped? This lead on to me thinkimg this is a place only bet. Just looked at prices and see 17/2 is available. Question is am I bottling the opportunity of a 25/1 winner (50/1 has long gone…should have logged on earlier!!) by going only for this less bold option??

Also going off subject, but what did you have a look at "The tail end system" and if so any thoughts about it?

    Hi there

Think there is a thread about this on systems section started originally by Billion sround the turn of the year.

If memory serves me he tried this for around a month but then decided the high strike rate needed and returns he had shown resulted in him not pursuing

However may be worth a look at to get some ideas from.

    Hi Robert

Enjoying your postings. Re corals, still trying to sort that out. Will keep you and other TRF posters informed of developments!!

Re Bev and Ripon, both lovely courses…went there often in my teens and early 20’s, 15 years ago as a york lad orginally (now some how living in rugby!?!) and both good days out…especially in those summers while on summer break from uni. Seem to remember I think backing Bollin Joanne in a sprint handicap and at time winning in relative terms, back then, a small fortune!! Hope you enjoy both of them. Re ripon, are you driving? Hope so as pain to get to by public tranpsort!!

In temrs of Epsom, potentially interested in tix but need to see tom if and the good lady wife and I can get A/L from work. If others come back with a definite and request tix understand allocating to them. However if no-one does in next 24 hours could I be considered. Will get back to you tom eve if thats ok?

All the best and continuing to always read your articles…and when get time follow your tips…thanks for the wimmers you’ve pointed me towards.

    All the best

    Hi Robert / All

Been away for a couple of days catching up with friends and having some bets at Cheltenham. Hope you all had a good punting festival?

Anyway hoping you can help. Will catch up on this and other articles properly over the w/e but on Tuesdays nights posting, in this thread, you indicated Robert you should get paid on Maljimar e/w if you had backed ante post. I thought this was the case and was going to ask for yours / others help re this matter.

Had an e/w L15 nrnb on 10th March with Corals. Included first Leut and Maljimar so has one nice price winner (12/1) and Maljimar (10/1) placed.

Popped in to pick up winnings today and people on counter first tried to settle without either the treble odds for one winner and the place single and doubles on maljimar. I challenged them so they went round the back and rang up head office who amended for one winner but again refused to settle place single or double on malj. Asked them to ring again in front of me which fair play they did and said to person on counter as it was an ante post bet when more than 16 runners were declared then surely I should get paid for 4th place. Person on other end of phone at head office again refused to settle it on this basis and also refused to speak to me as the customer.

At time I was pretty sure that I was right so asked for bet to be given back to me and for details of how to challenge what they were indicating. I now have this

In terms of above, can anyone indicate the specific ante post rule that I can quote when I both phone up Corals head office and when I go back into the shop to collect…the last time I think I will frequent Corals

Sorry to all readers if above is a bit of a rant and hoping members can help me.

p.s. Also seem to remember other contributors having similar problems around this type of thing previously – Ante post handicap bet when more than 16 runners reducing to less than 16 on day and getting 4th place e/w and bookmaker refusing to settle

    Hi Chickiswain

Re 25% bonus, how is that working as surely with the liquidity and % book that will be evident you might be able to back everything and walk away with a profit? Presume they limiting this to one selction for the "bonus" for this reason?

Haven’t got a betfair account so if above seems like a daft question sorry. Was considering opening one for Cheltenham so will now crack on and do this tonight

    Hi Robert

Thanks for reminder re Cannington and tip for Maljimar. Will look out for the latter definitely as wanted to oppose Garde but LAMI never wins and have got fed up of backing S australia!!

Re Blue Ivy, saw it finished mid divison but did you see race? Went onto sportinglife website but full result had no comments around how the race panned out for some reason.

FYI, used your PP selections for southwell for legs 3-6 as starting point for a quadpot. Didnlt disagree and came up so thanks for that too

Keep up the good work. Always enjoy reading your analysis

    yorkie

p.s. wandered if you used anything from the tail-end system when you choose some of your bigger priced selections?

    Robert / Anyone else reading

Just to let you know that 20/1 is avail for Blue Ivy at mo on sportingbet which I’ve just helped myself to as don’t have a betfair account!!

Robert – Sure in another thread somewhere you tipped horse for Cheltenham at big price (33/1 at time I think) in one of the staying chases. Clocked it, had a look at its form and agreed with your thoughts. Once nrnb kicked in I wanted to back it but cant find the thread or remember horses name. Ring any bells? If so could you remind me of name now that B365 and Stan James have gone nrnb

Firstly Formath, please do not think I am gatecrashing this thread but I recently read something that may add value to this discussion and perhaps assist Billion

Billion – If the number crunching is not your cup of tea, then a quick way to eliminate quite a few runners could be to use the following method:

Dismiss any horses that are a longer price than the number of runners in the reace

i.e. 16 runners, dismiss anything above 16/1, 8 runners 8/1, 5 runner 5/1 etc etc. Read recently ( in a recent "The racing Forum" I think) that historically 80 – 85% of races are won by horses that are priced under the number of runners in the race. Can’t remember if this is all races or just handicaps….which I know could make a big difference

Can anyone verify if the above is definitely true and clarify whether all races or just handicaps?

Also has anyone investigated this further re any variations in terms or number of runners or type of race, ergo could there be a race size in terms of runners or type that is an optimum number to use this principle? Always looking for an effective way to eliminate a number of runners, especially Mon – Fri when due to work commitments time is far more limited!!

    Interesting preview

Had look at form and tend to agree with your thoughts

FYI Atherstone is 6/1 with B365 at mo. Had a small dabble e/w with flat 8 runners myself

Really like Zaidpour (sorry if digressing from this column but responding to RIGIS) but don’t know which race to back hin in AP!! Therefire not dipping toe in water though 10/1 for supreme looks a tempting price if I knew he was going to run in it. With all of other Mullins horses that I feel will go for longer races than supreme then think zp will go for this but hate nothing more thanbacking AP and not even getting a run for my money!!

Do others think ZP will go for supreme or something else? Again appologies for digressing off this article and HF performance

    Hi there

New member tho have been reading TRF as a guest for 10 monthss (Leading up to CF 2010) Impressed with HF today but thing that struck me was time, that was I think 7 secs slower than other juvenile hurdle run by FT? don’t know Irish courses, but assuming sun on same one?

Therefore is cut in HF price for CH really that justified? Had somethign on already him AP at WH 11/2 B4 today but think any "value" @ 4/1 or 9/2 coral may now have gone. What do others think?

    Hi there

Eastern District tends to be more social housing (Western Favell etc). Best places to look for a good victorian terrace is Far Cotton, Semilong and St James (near the Saints Rugby club). Expect to pay about £120-130K for a terrace 2/3 bedroom. If you want somewhere a bit trendy then lok at the Wekkingborough Road/Abington area. Shopping isn’t bad, and night life is good if you like bars and clubs. Sports in the town is good as there is football, rugby and cricket all on hand.
Villages are a bit pricy though – start at 2 miles out (brafield, the Houghtones, Ecton) Lots of good country pubs near to hand.

We live in Rugby, work in Northampton, and until recently, lived in Far Cotton.
Moved to Warwickshire beacuse the secondary schools are excellent….
