Have you got an answer for my Beverley question David?

Why should connections be penalised unjustly for their horse having a minor problem, 3 weeks is ridiculous, any outstanding entries is sufficient to placate both sides.
Maybe courses should do more to negate the draw, eg Does anyone know of any good reason why Beverley haven’t had an extended trial of having the stalls on the stands side?

The handicapper doesn’t take the draw into account, he can’t. if you were penalised for having a "vets" they would just use unsuitable ground.
When we hopefully return to 24 hr entries I would like to see a 5 day ban for all "vets" as well as the previously required change of ground.

Didn’t think Speciosa was particulaly promising Frank, connections were hoping for a top 3 finish, thought it was a strange race to run in and the horse has been poorly campaigned since she won the Guineas.

Who can blame them, one of the problems at tracks like Chester & Beverley. I’d like to see the stalls tried on the far rail at Chester and the stands side at Beverley.

A few years ago when P Harris was the trainer I enquired about having a quarter share in a 40 grand yearling and was quoted 25 grand, needless to say I didn’t bother, the horse didn’t win a penny prize money despite several runs.

I think they make sure they get a good profit whatever happens to the horse, they do have their own private chopper after all. I think much better value can be found elsewhere.

I’ve heard the same and they are very expensive, is it just a coincidence that all the best horses seem to be owned by Mrs P Harris?

I find the originator of this thread to be very much spot on with his assessment of compo.

I find it strange that any horse racing fans would find it acceptable for anyone to regularly hand over to the commentator after they have run half a furlong, if something is left or slowly away we would be none the wiser unless we had spotted it ourselves.

As for Chapman, he shouldn’t be allowed near a microphone.
