I
Dan Maskellawwwwwwww what a Ledge that man was.
Was watching old tennis matches when Wimbledon was on last year and Maskell says sod all for 10 minutes, then, after Borg hits a winner, he screams, in the poshest voice ever, ‘Oh I sayyyyy what a PEACH of a vol-layyyyy

I understand the Beeb is in the process of putting it’s entire archive online, which probably explains the old BBC races disappearing.
Archive with reference to horse racing?
If so thats good news.
So it’ll all re-appear again?
Liverpool.
Sounds like its going to be a couple of trains then hoping a shuttle bus turns up.
Right so what your saying is, in SOME INSTANCES, The Queen has bred and sold some of her horses to Stoute?
They’ve even pulled down the (full version) of Dessies win in the GC in 89 (year I was born). For absolute fucks sake.
Then the one when Norton’s Coin shocked everyone and won the GC@ 100-1.
gutted all round basically.
I have a few on DVD (2001 mud bath being one) but you cant buy many that way either. There’s not many special DVD’s on horses like Arkle/Golden Miller/Dawn Run/Dessie etc
I just remember Wilson sayin (I think in the 89 National) ‘they’ll have to jump the extreme right of the canal turn after an obstruction from a DEAD HORSE……’
You could hear him stutter and think ‘OMG’ after he said it as well.Forgive my ignorance here (on the jockeying side anyway)
1. Why do flat Jockeys (Pat Eddery/Richard Hills/Lestor Piggot) seem to have longer careers?
2, Is it harder riding on the flat or the jumps? If the jumps, what skills does a flat jockey require?
3. What makes a good jockey from a bad jockey?
Exactly.
I love a bit of nostalgia, plus its not like say, the 1991 Grand National is readily available is it? The sort of thing you get to see once and thats it. I’m 20 so haven’t seen very much.
Why the BBC have a problem with this I do not know.
Desert Orchid’s Biography by Richard Burridge I couldn’t bear to put down. Brilliant Read.
Cheers mate. I fancied this horse for the national to be honest. Just the way he seems to take to things very quickly and easily.
Is it easy to get to HQ’s?
I do mfind the guys idiosyncrisies funny like.

Tar.
Ideally I want somewhere which consistently has the top horses and trainers.
Seen some of the cards today for racing and everywhere apart from sandown is an awful standard today.

Good website this. Explains how to get to all the courses

At the moment purely because you just go to London on Virgin trains and get a short and simple overhead to either of the two, I’m considering Kempton & Sandown. Do fancy the Coral Eclipse on the 5th July at Sandown. The **** is most of my mates aren’t into the horses as much as me so unless its a ******* well known event there not as keen so might be going solo for one of those two.
Trying to get a mate to come to the Ebor though (20th August), which might be tempting for him, and I’m encouraged by what I;ve heard off lads on here.
Just if I ever go trigger happy and decide to go in the future, where do you get the tickets from lads and how do they get delivered?
Isn’t this smack middle of Paris?
Moore’s a sight better than hughes.
