Who is the fan of line breeding among your group of owners? This makes 2/2 with notable linebreeding so I doubt it’s a fluke.
Thankfully has very close "pattern line breeding" in her pedigree.
Her fifth dam " Leading Home" is inbred 2*3 which my studies have found can produce exceptional performance of some decendants.
I would think Thankfully has a career as a broodmare when racing is finished.
Keep her!
Peter
Our trainer, Mark Brisbourne buys all of our fillies but our standing instructions to him are to buy fillies he feels will have broodmare value if they are successful.
We could do with some performances on the track first of course.

Leading Home doesn’t have any close crosses in her pedigree. She is linebred 4X5X5 to Voter, with no other duplications in her first 5 generations.
Leading home 1946 By Bull Lea whose dam is Rose Leaves[/color:3dm5hhnd].
Leading Homes dam Bounding Home is by the sire Espino a son of the mare Rose Leaves[/color:3dm5hhnd].
Leading Home is inbred 2×3 to Rose Leaves [/color:3dm5hhnd] a grandaughter of Voter.
Voter is actually 4×5,6,6 in Leading Home’s pedigree unless Tesiopower database has an error.Mark Brisbourne knows his stuff then when it comes to pedigree.
When you strike a mare that is high class on the track then you will have a very good broodmare. I was only suggesting you breed from her if she does turn out to be useful.
cheers
PeterSea Biscuit, Pharlap etc became legends and then movie stars.
We will not see a movie made of Zarkava, the romance and history that was hers to make has been denied.
We all love extraordinary ability and Zarkava will just fade into oblivian unless she is able to produce stakes winners.
Her place amongst equine superstars will never be fully known.Aragorn
I reckon he’ll be quick enough alright.
Since his 3yo debut he has only been beaten twice in 7 races over 2m or less, once in his Derby debacle and the other when setting a stop/start pace in the Coronation Cup.
Be interesting to see how they justify the pacemakers though, in a jurisdiction where they’re supposed to be illegal?
Pacemakers taboo Aiden will declare them bold front runners

Correct that All The Good 30/1 for Melbourne Cup
40/1 for Caulfield Cup this Saturday where he has Kerrin McEvoy aboard and for the lucky chinese, Cup is race 8, ATG is saddlecloth 8 and has drawn barrier 8. Will start favorite in Singapore!!!!

What price would Septimus be over there, and would he be coupled with the other Coolmore runners on the Tab returns?
Super Tab @$6.50 = fav
Centrebet @$7.00
Eskander and Doublebet both @$7.50Better odds than the UK.
On raceday you have the usual
Quinella 1st + 2nd any order
Exacta 1st + 2nd correct order
Trifecta 1+2+3 can include multiple runners in any order depending on your budget
Quartet 1+2+3+4 as per trifecta. The quartet can pay more than 100k if some roughies come home
ie All The Good @40/1

Looks a nice filly to me Tuffers.
All in good proportion and stands well.
looks a likely type, hope she has a ticker to match.
She has her final run in maiden company on Thursday at Nottingham. Once that’s out of the way we should be able to have some fun with her.
Another name please Tuffers
cheers
PeterMore News – If the Sydney fillies do well in the 1000 Guineas this will be a guide to SM chances in the Plate.
Samantha Miss not in Guineas but in everyone’s mind
Brad Waters
Tuesday, 14 October 2008Boom filly Samantha Miss is not a runner in Wednesday’s GI Thousand Guineas at Caulfield but leading trainer David Hayes and Freedman stable jockey Dwayne Dunn agree that she holds the key to finding the winner of the event.
“The Samantha Miss formline might be the dominant formline in the event,” Hayes said.
“She might be a freak but then again the others might just be ordinary, I’m hoping they’re ordinary”.
Hayes has Taameer, Oval Affair and Arms Wide Open in the event while Dwayne Dunn will ride the Lee Freedman-trained Darley entrant Romneya.
“Kerrin (McEvoy) had the choice of which one he wanted to ride and jumped on to Portillo straight away, probably based on the perception that the Sydney form is better,” Dunn said.
“I also think that we have to bank on the Sydney form not being good enough in this race”.
Portillo only got within two lengths of Samantha Miss once in the recently run Princess Series, yet is rated the best of the Sydney fillies in betting at around the $6 mark.
Snooper,
Regarding Samantha Miss – Whats the general feeling over your way about her in the 1000 Guineas this week? She’s had a brilliant run up to this IMO and I’ve taken 4-1 due to her form.
Is she expected to win?
Bit late but as MD stated she was not intended to run. Her mission is the Cox Plate and maybe the Crown Oaks.
Stick with her as she is all class.
A copy of comments at racenet.com.au
Star Sydney filly Samantha Miss had her first look at the tricky Moonee Valley circuit in a track gallop that pleased trainer Kris Lees on Tuesday morning.
With Cox Plate rider Glen Boss aboard, the Princess Series winner looked in terrific order as she cruised over 1000 metres at a speed just quicker than even time before striding over the last 400 metres in 26.85 seconds.
Trainer Kris Lees was very pleased with the way that Samantha Miss took in the Valley particularly as the track was especially tight as the markers were out nearly twenty metres.
“She went terrific, she wasn’t out to run any sort of time, she was only here for a look around the track and she had that this morning,” he said.
“She got on her right leg to get around the track without a worry and she’s done everything I wanted her to do this morning”.
Glen Boss made the short trip from Flemington to Moonee Valley to ride Samantha Miss and was also pleased with her work.
“She felt great and even though she wasn’t out to break records this morning, she got around the track without a worry,” he said.
Hiya Peter
In the CC, Mad Rush would probably need soft ground to perform to his best over 12f, while All The Good would be a little more versatile, neither is probably good enough.
I’d be amazed though, if Septimus couldn’t give 5kgs or so to the other European challengers in the MC; the ground is unlikely to be a problem, and he appears to have been trained specifically for the race by the top team in our part of the world.
They thought they’d have won a couple of years ago with Yeats if it hadn’t been a stop go-pace; Septimus would be just about his equal, possibly a little speedier, carries slightly less weight, and has the insurance of a couple of pacemakers from the same ownership to ensure no hanging about. Not much of a price at around 5/1 in the UK, but I’d be surprised if there’s a better horse in the field.I will have a quartet (pick four) with Septimus as a stand alone to win as insurance against him bringing his A form to Oz. The 58.5 is some concern but he clearly deserves the weight. I have also had a splash at All The Good in the MC due to the manner in which he won last start in the rerun of the Ebor. It made sense as Purple Moon went very close to winning the Cup after his Ebor Run. On face value the overall record of ATG seems below the standard required but his last win was high class.
Hiya Peter
It’s as difficult to be certain from here to there either. Without knowing the nature of the tracks, the quality of the opposition, or even what constitutes ‘good’ going in your part of the world, you’d really need one of our better travelled members to give an accurate view..
Full lifetime form is available for all European entrants under the search facility on the Racing Post website:

and fwiw, here are their official ratings converted to KilosThanks reet hard this info has helped alot.
I’d have Mad Rush over All The Good although it’s a tight call; the latter has had a later start to his season which may benefit him for an Antipodean campaign, but Cumani is in a different league to Bin Suroor as a trainer.
Thanks Rory, they both made the final field for the Caulfield Cup and the barrier draw is tomorrow. I have had a splash on All The Good but I will put Mad Rush in with my novelty bets as well as you have them closely matched.
COMEON as Leighton would say.
Line them up, or is the task too subjective?
What about Mad Rush V’s All The Good then.
900/1! Have a tenner on for me!
Alas his price has firmed but still 50/1 for the Caulfield Cup.
Hopefully you have been soaking up the generous odds on betfair for the CC as well as the Melbourne cup.
Mad Rush is also in the CC, how does he compare to All The Good carvillshill?Hi all, I have a few horses I think could be ahead of the handicapper and I’m waiting to see where they run.
My list is below, do you all fancy anything ?
Rippling Ring – should win a few good hurdle races.
Silverburn – breathing op could turn him into a corking horse.
Mobaasher – another breathing op horse from Nicholls, could be a smart 3m race in him.
Battlecry – Like this horse and he looks a National type to me.
Jack The Giant – may not be harshly treated as races he mainly won have been hurdles.Paddy Power Chase
I think Imperial Commander of Twiston-Davies has a huge chance, Silverburn and Jack The Giant could be the dangers.Sorry to interupt your post but can you please explain the following
Corking horse – what does this mean, I looked it up on google and it read "did you mean rocking horse"
National type – is that jumping?
I would like to learn if you can assist, as these terms are new to me.
Sorry I did not mean to be rude.
start again
I live in Australia and viewing overseas racing is limited by live coverage to foxtel subscribers only. I have a mate with Foxtel but your racing is late at night so I don’t get to see much live racing.
I have recently joined your on line community to expand my experience of European racing and have found the numerous topics compelling reading.
However the discussion surrounding individual horses is often hard to find with limited debate.
I would enjoy opinionated discussion in your representatives, surely you have favorites and this leads to healthy debate.cheers
