Do we wait for @isinglass to ask a question, or can anyone jump in?
I have a small sentimental each way stake on Irish Rookie, but TBH I don’t have any serious hopes for her!

Anyone expecting anything from Arabian Queen?
Good luck with Jazzi Top @raymo61! I love that family.

I inexplicably had a dream about Ruffian last night so this afternoon I’m just hoping they all get home safe!

Fingers crossed for Nathra. Minding still getting good vibes I think despite Air Force Blue tanking yesterday.
I like Galileo Gold, I think he’s a smashing looking horse.
Good point re Golden Horn @steeplechasing. I admit I was one of the ‘he won’t get 12f’ brigade; boy did he prove me wrong lol.
For some reason I thought Galileo Gold was a son of Galileo and had him pencilled down for 10+ furlong races. If only he was called Paco Gold, I’d have been all over him.
What a plonker….!!Lol! I assumed the same the first time I saw him. I think they should be required to declare any horses with ‘Galileo’ in the name who are not by Galileo. Red Galileo was another such imposter.
Only sea the stars has come close to him since in my opinion
Obviously this is a typo and you mean Frankel… I mean, everyone means Frankel!

@triptych Lol!
He gave me something of a two-hooved salute didn’t he?

Hopefully today was a one-off and they can figure out how to keep a lid on him in the future; I do still like him.
I’m sceptical.
Paco Boy was a miler with a pedigree to match – Green Desert sire line and a dam who never won past 7f. Galicuix is a half sister to an out-and-out sprinter in Goldream.
That said, the latter is by Oasis Dream whereas Galicuix herself is obviously Galileo, so maybe we can expect rather different genes popping up in Galileo Gold. Go back a few generations down the female line and you find Floripedes, runner-up in the Prix Royal Oak and dam of Montjeu. A ray of hope?
TBH I’d be surprised if he stays 12f – but then, Thoroughbreds have been amazing at proving me wrong for as long as I’ve loved them.
Maybe he’ll make a good 10f horse? It’ll be interesting whether connections are tempted by the Derby, or whether they go the tried-and-tested route of Irish Guineas/St James’s Palace with a step up to 10f later in the season.
Galileo Gold looked good working at Newmarket the other week. Can’t say I’m surprised by his win; well done to his connections.
Looks like Air Force Blue did a One Cool Cat on us.
I was one year old.
Wish I had first-hand memories of him!Only half an hour to go until the big race, but Jack Hobbs pulled up in the Jockey Club Stakes.

All I have is Nathra EW at 16-1.
I didn’t read much into the tongue strap on Air Force Blue personally. Maybe it’s just been put on as a safety net. There was a study published a couple of years ago that found tongue ties physically improve air flow in normal horses, so I suppose it’s not just horses who suffer with a dorsally displaced palate who benefit.
My brain is telling me that Godolphin went through a phase of putting tongue straps on all their runners. Have I made this up?

I got on Stormy Antarctic EW at 10-1. Hope he doesn’t make a fool of me.
@Triptych I was on Haafhd in 2004 and I’m grasping for faith in the Craven right now!
California Chrome out.
I’ve got EW money on Toormore. Fingers crossed!
Well I had a payout on my EW stake on Storm The Stars. :)
I thought Golden Horn wouldn’t stay, and was wrong.
Great race and a good winner – though I must echo the sentiment that it was sad to see Treasure Beach (essentially the Epsom Derby representative in Pour Moi’s absence) reduced to the pacemaking role…
