I know there’s plenty of you who wouldn’t have a clue about whats even entered for next years 1000gns at Newmarket but TAPK takes Ante-Post betting to a different level and I’m feeling generous today so I’ll share my Foresight. On Saturday we’ll see a very smart 2yo filly win the Chesham, she’s very well named.Ballydoyle a daughter of ‘Galileo’,she is a full sister to the Group 1 winning ‘Misty for me’,a mile is going to be no problem for this well entered filly and she’ll go 10/1 fav at 2,35pm.I have taken the 33/1 about her for next year. However before we get too carried away there’s a filly waiting in the wings, another extremely well named one called Coolmore she too is well entered up but this Chestnut 2yo is a full sister to ‘Gleneagles’ and is already a 33/1 chance for Classic glory.Again I have taken that.TAPK,the legend that is knows these 2 purple breds will ultimately be aimed for Newmarket but its safer going into battle with 2 guns rather than one.33/1 wont be around for long for either now your King has spoken.
June 19, 2015 at 20:25 #1107173There’s only 10 months to the 2016 1000gns and ‘Illuminate’ threw down her marker today.Bookmakers were more impressed than myself and make her the 14/1 fav.She looks like a filly who will get the mile but thats it,I prefer a filly that will get further and takes in the Newmarket classic en-route to stepping up in trip.I believe tomorrows ‘Chesham’ winner Ballydoyle will go fav tomorrow afternoon.Coolmore last won this race with ‘Maybe’ a filly who went off the 6/4fav for the following years 1000gns and got stuffed by her stablemate, difference is this ones a Galileo filly and has shown me enough already to think the 7f is needed now.I have been taking the 33/1 with Paddy Power today again until he succumbed and cut her to 25/1 in line with others.TAPK can feel another ‘Dawn approach’ coming…
June 20, 2015 at 12:10 #1107950Gone in again this morning on Ballydoyle for the 1000gns at 25/1.If this filly still trades at that this afternoon then I’m not the greatest judge of horseflesh that ever existed.
June 20, 2015 at 12:25 #1107954Magnier has been unusually bullish about this one. I think she’s very much ‘expected’ today so you could be holding onto a nice little ticket there by 2.45 TAPK
June 20, 2015 at 12:26 #1107955Do you not fear that ‘The Lads’ have cottoned-on and now see that everyone is wise to the best names = best horses ploy?
The naming of Ballydoyle and Coolmore could be them having a massive laugh at your expense. I don’t have a view either way on this particular horse (and hope you can get yourself back in the black with this one TAPK), but I think people are putting too much faith in this. Ballydoyle aren’t in the business of giving the betting public free information.

Names dont interest me TYF..I’ve seen Ballydoyes maiden and her breeding. As for Coolmore she could be named I’masthickaspigshit but the fact remains she’s still a full sister to ‘Gleneagles’.As for being back in the black?? Am as black as the Ace of spades!
June 20, 2015 at 13:04 #1108018Good to hear you’re keeping your chin up mate. I’m sure it’ll all turn around for you soon. One winner brings two, brings three and so on.

Pretty much all of the two-year-olds at Ballydoyle are very closely related to champions. These two horses have not been missed by the bookies, the media or the crabs on social media. It’ll be a rare act of generosity from Tabor, Magnier and co if these two turn out to be special.

I hope it doesn’t turn around for me.I’m looking for my tenth and eleventh winner this week TYF.
June 20, 2015 at 13:22 #1108022Just looking at next years 1000gns winner in the paddock there and having snaffled the 33/1 and 25/1 with PP,I see they have cut her to 16/1 now.Fingers crossed she runs well against some smart looking colts here and its onwards and upwards.
June 20, 2015 at 13:38 #1108039What did you think TAPK?
Slightly quirky and green, but eventually stayed-on after taking an age to pick up. Given that 7f looks a bare minimum already, I think the Guineas will be too sharp for her. Balance also perhaps a worry in the dip.
June 20, 2015 at 13:40 #1108040Thank God that wasn’t the 1000gns as Ballydoyle doesn’t want to lose like that, great effort though and a very worthy winner who’s obviously no slouch.’Sixth Sense’ looked like he had stolen it so for the first 2 to cut him down speaks volumes about their ability. My filly still looked green and wants at least a mile.

Sorry TYF missed that I must have been writing same time as you..Like I said and you yourself, this filly will get a mile stood on her head,I dont think it will be too sharp but she took a while to get going there.Aiden will start her in the Guineas and start telling us she wants a trip, she’ll be like her sister and want a 11/4m..
June 20, 2015 at 14:05 #1108089Coolmore seem to be getting their horses born really early, but they were pushing it with Coolmore whose birth date is actually [ahem] 1st January. Can’t hekp but feel that calendars and watches were absent in the foaling sheds at the time.

Have you got the sectionals Gord? That’s the opposite of what I saw it. Sixth Sense did by far the best of those up with the pace from the start. So imo the Johnston horse is better than the distances suggest/first two not as good as the distance back to the third suggests. Ballydoyle will need to show a hell of a lot more speed than she did today. Possibly still greeness, early days and could develop speed, but at the moment looks more like an Oaks filly.
Has two sisters. Misty For Me won Irish Guineas, but best performance in Irish Pretty Polly 1m2f by 6 lengths and unlucky in Filly And Mare Turf 1m3f, finishing fastest of all. Twirl needed 1m2f to show her best, 2nd to The Fugue in Musidora. Fact Ballydoyle has been raced at 7f this early in the season suggests The Boys think she’ll need more than a mile at three. If anything think you’ve backed her for the wrong Classic Gord.
Value Is EverythingJune 20, 2015 at 19:30 #1108419Yes Ginge you make valid points as usual.Look at the distances of the beaten horses behind the front 2.I’d say a mile is Ballydoyles minimum trip, she without any doubt was the horse to take from the race again,as was the case after her debut. What you need in the 1000gns is a horse that stays, not one that has questionable stamina as is the case with ‘Illuminate’.I hoped she would win today but if she was going to get beat by a very good colt then she went down the way I hoped, not tying up but staying on strongly and just failing. If I can get a price on her for the Oaks I’ll take it as I have Coolmore waiting in the wings for the 1000 gns too.She wont get the 11/2m if she is anything like her full brother so TAPK will have his A*se..I mean base covered.

Coolmore might do it, but by going in again and again for Ballydoyle, if she doesn’t turn up Coolmore will need to be quite short for the combined bet to pay off.
